Have you done a overnight stay? Believe Shaw is a bouncing place at night
No :D I was only going to one of the games and chose the league game yesterday as the forecast was better. As it stands i may have chosen the wrong game.

It's only early in the game but Lowerhouse are 134/2 from 22. Ben Heap is 68no.

Now 182/2 from 30 but Ben has retired hurt on 77no. No idea what has happened.

I see the Price is right scored 140 against Colne. Chin up Lenny lad.
It was nailed on that he'd score a ton yesterday. Wish I could have bet on it!

128 was more than enough yesterday but I suspect it might not be today

It will take another mammoth bowling performance or maybe an iffy wicket :)

I'm not totally confident 257 will be enough after our bowling performance yesterday. It should be but that doubt is there.

Looking like Burnley have lost by 6 wickets

Looking like the final 4 in the Worsley cup are going to be the current top 4 in Division 1. Adds more to the argument that it is getting increasingly difficult for the rest perhaps?

Would have liked to have seen Burnley go through against them, Walsden are arguably the strongest side and a Derby would have been great for the semi or final again.

Agreed. I'd certainly fancy our chances more against Burnley than Walsden :)

It would have been nice to see House beat Burnley again in the final.A great sight to see Burnley players throwing their runner up trophies in the nearest bin,

Big bopper it’s a game of amateur cricket hardly the world test championship. Probably another example of a post 2005 lowerhouse fan

Hardly the world test championship no it's far more important than that. Post 2005 ? I can remember when Riley and Harrisson used to captain Burnley and take great delight in humiliating the House.

That is why it is such a delight to see Burnley now being the third best team in the Borough behind The House and Padiham.

Knew Derek really well, giant of a man! His whole family watch Lowerhouse these days funnily enough and I don’t think they’re really aware of the high regard he is held in at BCC

Derek Riley was captain when I first started watching Lancashire League cricket and he was also a friend of my dad from schooldays so I got to know him really well. Good batsman and good captain although I have to say that Roland Harrison who followed him was probably the best captain I ever saw in the league.

As for humiliating teams - I'd just say they took great delight in winning games of cricket.

One of the umpires yesterday was a former Walsden captain and grandfather of one of the current players. No wonder he didn't give him out when stone dead LB

I can imagine it  , I was discussing this with my boss earlier and he said he always gives his son out LBW when umpiring the 3rds even when it’s not “will teach him to get bat on ball”

Looks like The House got the draw they didn’t want. Hope Walsden don’t bring their umpire

To be honest there was no preference out of the 4 left, they are all top sides. Wanted a home draw and got one though.

Just seen on Twitter the Church pro smashed a hundred off 28 balls.

Some going that.
Let's hope he likes small grounds again as Padiham have got him for sub pro on Saturday.

If there's any Church fans on here. We have your old pro Zain Abbas subbing on Friday in the 20/20 as well.
