Maybe a couple of Russians visited Middlesbrough to see the famous Tees Transporter Bridge

Are you stupid? read the article again, they had a conversation at the side of the pitch, nothing like breaking the bubble to meet girls in Iceland.

Risk? hahahaha don't be ridiculous, vaccinated footballer has a conversation, WHAT A RISK, DISGRACEFUL!!!
That's pretty rich coming from a poster who recently criticized someone else for resorting to personal insults. I'd go take a long look in the mirror if I were you.

And no, I'm not stupid, stupidity would be trusting what a newspaper article says.

Put 2 and 2 together. Bunch of Chelsea team mates get reprimanded. What could they possibly be doing together that would resort to that?

Certainly not just having a conversation.

I don’t want to create a debate because it’s not within the forum rules, but I really don’t think Gilmour would have contracted it from another player, otherwise that player would also be isolating and we know Mount and Chilwell don’t have it. The source is outside of football
We know mount & chilwell tested negative at the point of testing.

Key to decision not to base in Scotland.
Nothing to do with lack of facilities in Scotland then?

It's not so much of an issue for England that they miss tonight's game, however a bigger concern might be whether they'll be available for the 1st KO game, if they have to isolate for 10 days, then it could be touch and go whether they make it, and presumably they won't be able to train during this period either, certainly not with their teammates anyway.

Chilwell isn't as much of a miss as Mount as England are well stocked in the full back areas, but Mount would be a bigger miss if he can't play in the next round.

Questions do need to be asked how Gilmour contracted covid, and this might stop all this over the top hugging and hand shaking after a game, why can't a simple fist bump suffice as most other people are doing these days.
What I don’t understand is why our 2 have to isolate yet the entire Scotland squad don’t?

The over the top hugging as you put it isn’t against the ludicrous rules. No common sense send to be being applied.

I think it’s because Mount and Chilwell spent 17 minutes chatting with Gilmour at close proximity in the tunnel after the game.

So 2 minutes less and COVID wouldn’t have been passed on? Sharing a closed changing room doesn’t passed on COVID? It makes no sense!

Well! Scotland can certainly self isolate now as their tournament is over.

I don't know all the in's and out's, but I'd wager the mingling in the tunnel post match will have had a bearing,

I cant help but suspect that a player or two in the Scots' dressing room chatted to/stood near to Gilmour before/after the game/at half time.

Southgate was the one who mentioned they spent 2 minutes too long with him so I’m surmising. Obviously that 2 minutes isn’t necessarily going to make the difference between passing on the virus or not, that is the arbitrary length of time that the experts use for the risk of spreading.

Regards the changing rooms, I expect that they are set up in such a way that players are 2 metres apart.

FWIW it does seem ridiculous to me, but thems the rules.

Maybe, but for more than 15 minutes in front of cameras?
