Late 60s into 70s Yarm was stag heaven. 13 pubs in main street. Some would try to drink a pint in each.
George Pratt(remember him) sent many a Rossendalian to Kirk Levington in Yarm for their 3 month short sharp shock

Expensive, and actually being able to get one is difficult everywhere is booked up,try East Neuk cottages or Elie lettings, the range of accommodation is fantastic and right on the coastline.Good luck with your search Taffy, you won't be disappointed...its a beautiful place

A mink appearing from the undergrowth in Leeds. One benefit of the test match finishing early was being able to go and take some photos in and around the Leeds area,

I used to work shifts at the Paper Mill in Langcliffe on the bank of the River Ribble ... We used to watch the Mink playing in the early morning sunshine ... we reckoned they were obviously relatives of the ones released by do-gooders from the Mink Farm on Malham Moor back in the late 70's

They are an animal that split opinion fiercely in the wildlife world. For some, they are cute, efficient mustelids, for others, ruthless killing machines with no natural predator, and destroyer of whole ranges of nesting birds. I think I read they had been introduced prior to the release from fur farms in the 70's. There is a wide scale trapping and euthanisation of them, however, trapping is tough, as the traps have to be checked every single day, with anything caught that isn't a mink released immediately. It's a losing fight in the elimination of them probably. This one was small, so probably a cub from this year. The lake they were in is part of a park, where people have recently been observing newly fledged kingfishers, Great Crested Grebes, little grebes, ducks and cygnets. Will be interesting to see how the waterfowl prosper over the next 3-6 months.

Plenty on the Ribble I saw 1 at paythorne the other day, back of Roberts even further up at stainsforth it's ideal
habitat for them, I've seen them on the LL at gargrave & LC at garstang, all over the watercourses now.

Can I ask how you are able to get your name on the photo which should hopefully stop anyone stealing the photo.

I add a watermark during the editing process in Lightroom. There are free tools out there to use to create and add watermarks to your photos though. Dropbox being one of the services that offer it.

You are welcome fella, it's pleasing to know that you are receiving some benefit from everybody contributing with the photos, actually getting out into the outdoors & taking photographs can reduce the anxiety as an additional measure if the levels are too high.
