Re: Spain v Slovakia
If Sweden win then its looking like it might be Sweden or Ukraine who we'd play should we make it through the tough last 16 match.
If my calcs are correct then Semi's would be one from Holland, Czech Republic, Wales or Austria.
Spain failing to win their group really opens up the bottom half of the draw so the next game really is the big one for us

I’d fancy us vs Germany but not sure against France or PortugalDevils_Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 6:39 pmIf Sweden win then its looking like it might be Sweden or Ukraine who we'd play should we make it through the tough last 16 match.

I dont fancy us against any of them but we've got it in us.
Poland have equalised so that prob means Spain in quarters if we did win and dont think our sides good enough for beating two top teams in a row

Re: Spain v Slovakia
looking how the group currently stands it will be either Germany or France, I suspect Germany. I don't fancy the Portuguese to get anything against France today tbhDevils_Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 6:53 pmGet in, back to plan A and personally I hope we get Portugal out of the three Group F teams
Re: Spain v Slovakia
For all the talk of England better off finishing 2nd they will end up with a far easier chance to get to the final by being in top spot.

Re: Spain v Slovakia
France have stuttered a bit in their first two games. Itll be interesting to see which of their big players show up tonight. And I can’t see Portugal playing as bad as they did on Saturday.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 6:59 pmlooking how the group currently stands it will be either Germany or France, I suspect Germany. Re: Spain v Slovakia
Agreed. We'd most likely be looking at this route to the final:
2nd round: France/Germany/Portugal/Hungary at Wembley.
Quarter final: Sweden/Ukraine in Rome.
Semi final: Holland/Czech Republic/Wales/Denmark at Wembley.

well I've said Germany or France so anyone with any knowledge of my footy predictions would put their money on Portugal !Winstonswhite wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 7:09 pmFrance have stuttered a bit in their first two games. Re: Spain v Slovakia
On our day we're capable of beating even of those teams especially with home advantage of playing at Wembley, however whoever we end up facing we'll need to go up a gear or two from the group performances.
Ideal results for England are wins for France & Hungary. that way one of Germany or Portugal could find themselves going out altogether.

Re: Spain v Slovakia
Well we will be playing them soon as they are in our WC qualifying group, however yes we could be playing them sooner then expected, long time to go yet though, and even if we do end up facing Hungary we'd be wise not to underestimate them, as they've already shown during this tournament that they can cause the best teams problems.

Re: Spain v Slovakia
It’s a bit like following through a tackle then taking someone out. A bit harsh but see why it’s given.
It’s made this group even more interesting anyway
