Decorator recommendations - second attempt

Post by ClaretTony » Mon Jul 05, 2021 3:37 pm

I've just looked back and it was May 2019 when I started a thread asking if anyone could recommend a decorator locally (Burnley). I made contact with some who promised to come but didn't, one even booked me in for the work and didn't show.

So, 26 months later, and still living in a building site, I could do with getting moving again. Initially it's just painting in the kitchen but eventually I'll want the whole house doing.

If you can recommend anyone then I'd appreciate it.

Tommy Coogan.

Always turns up to assess/quote. Always turns up to do it. Always a great job finished on time.

First class.

Please let me know if you find a good quality and reliable one. They seem to be like rocking horse droppings, we've had 3 in the last few years and they were all careless in different ways. The most recent one has splashed paint all over the radiators and wooden floor.

I’ll second that. He’s done our living room, stairs and landing, dining room and kitchen. Excellent work.

They’re very hard to get at the minute, all the good ones I’ve spoken to are booked up for 4-6 weeks minimum. I need a few days if anybody hears of a good one

Phoned him. He came that day and gave me a quote two days later. He explained he was extremely busy but he will fit in my initial work when he can.

Well we’ve sorted the pans, blinds and decorator, probably still trying to sort a gardner, what else is next on the list at Chez Scholes? Perhaps we could start a sweep on the next job required :D :D

You've missed the roofer, central heating installer and kitchen fitter.

I believe so. I spoke to him twice but he didn’t turn up.
