Maybe because it’s not really any of our business whether he works for the club or not.

If he no longer works for the club then there is almost certainly a very good reason why his departure hasn’t been made public yet.

Report on LancLive 9-Jun-2021

ALK have also brought Dave Baldwin back to Turf Moor in an advisory capacity.

The former Burnley CEO is a vastly experienced football operator who will play a key part in assisting with the Clarets recruitment over the coming months.

He left his role at Turf Moor to join the EFL in 2020 but was in post a matter of months before stepping down and his return will be seen as a major positive by many given his experience and expertise while his knowledge and knowhow is viewed as a crucial asset within football circles.

The Clarets are currently operating without a CEO after the departure of Neil Hart after just a year in post. He left In March with Pace taking on the role of Executive Chairman in the interim.

Meanwhile, speculation has surrounded the future of Burnley Technical Director Mike Rigg in recent days.

He is currently on a few weeks break from the club but Lancs Live understands he has not left his post at this time.

Rigg arrived in 2018 charged with improving player identification and recruitment. His arrival saw the Clarets invest in scouting to be able to identify players across the globe using a statistics-based model, albeit one that has yet translate into signings.

The previous Burnley board sanctioned just £1million on investment last summer, with Dale Stephens and Will Norris arriving, something that ALK have vowed to rectify moving forward with boss Sean Dyche keen to strengthen his squad having secured Premier League survival.

There is a growing confidence that Dyche will sign a new deal with the Clarets after talks with chairman Alan Pace with both in agreement on the best way forward for the club.

Burnley FC declined to comment on any staffing changes at Turf Moor.

I've added the bold re Mike Rigg.

As for LinkedIn - there are many people who leave a job but don't updated LinkedIn when this happens. A contact of mine left a job, voluntarily, in 2015. Their LinkedIn record still says they are in that job.

I am more interested in how we are going to spend money going forward AND service the club debt. Mr Pace has not exactly bet the ranch but to be fair we still have our top players so far.

Absolutely none of our business, I know certain people seem to think they should be aware of every movement, promotion, sacking, recruitment at the club, when actually they've no right whatsoever...... Apparently the manager of my local tesco got sacked last week... Nobody told me... Who do I complain to?

Why is it our business? Imagine a situation where an employee of the club has been put on garden leave but the club and employee have agreed to keep the matter private until said leave comes to an end and the person finds employment elsewhere. Why should a personal matter like that be our business?

Why compare your support of Burnley Football Club with what goes on in a branch of Tesco ? Would you be as interested in the manager there being removed as Sean Dyche being sacked ?

Both are multi million/billion companies, where I spend my money, more in tesco than BFC to be honest
The sooner people realise we are no more than customers to the club, with little, or no say in how it's run, the better

You may like to know, but you don't have a right to know, which is the difference some struggle with.

I’m surprised Darren Bentley has gone also, even though I speculated about it about 2 weeks ago but had my post removed.

I thought he was a genuine bloke who always had the club’s best interests at heart, to be honest.

Looks like they have had a proper pruning. Lets hope they are not too ruthless and we don't lose someone that's hard to replace and who has a lot of knowledge that we could lose within the club

A lot of well known figures seem to be being potted . Darren Bentley mentioned in the Training Guru article
One must assume they’ve had settlements which stop them commenting.
Hopefully ALK will improve things but hopefully not at the expense of the family feel of the club.

The promised busy transfer window is something that must happen for ALK to keep any credibility

doesn't surprise me, not that DB has done anything wrong, most clubs seem to have younger "presenters" of their media output. It's the way of the world especially when trying to digitally improve revenue streams. That said, if they get rid of Phil Bird from the commentary team then I'll write a strongly worded letter ! :D
