Pre season Friendly against Turton at the Arbories if anyone wants a football fix.

Meant to be 25 degrees. I shall be in attendance always a good day up at Padiham even better when the sun is shining. Think it's £3 for adults and £1 concessions with U16s free.

You won’t be in attendance - it’s now taking place on Monday night. No refs available to oversee the game.

Yes being played tomorrow now at 7pm.

Also at home Friday 7pm against a very good Fleetwood Town Academy side.

Have you seen Fleetwood would play or are you just basing it on every academy side is good against teams of Padiham level?

Just seems a little strange with all the top academies in the area, you wouldn't expect Fleetwood to be one.

Fleetwood are very well run and financed, it certainly would not come as a surprise to me at all if they had a strong academy. Accrington are making strides in that direction.

Fleetwood are under a transfer embargo and have let some decent players leave to cut wages.

Oh, not followed them closely, must have hit the rocks a bit of late, unless I’ve got it completely wrong; I thought Morecambe was the poor relation on the Fylde coast… including Fylde. But I only take a passing interest.

I think they just have a business man pumping money in and probably had a real go at promotion before the pandemic hit.
Employing the likes of Joey Barton wouldn't have been cheap.

Padiham beat Fleetwood u18s tonight 2-0.

These academy teams don't seem to be beating the local sides at the minute
