Jimmy Gabriel RIP
Just seen that Jimmy Gabriel died recently. Those of us of more mature years will remember him playing for Everton in the 1960s. Probably best described as an uncompromising player but could certainly play a bit as well. Saw him play on a number of occasions and he was certainly a whole hearted and committed player.
RIP

Yeah I remember Jimmy Gabriel. Uncompromising is the word.
Was in Everton's 1966 FA Cup winning side and later played for Southampton.

Re: Jimmy Gabriel RIP
Remember him well. Fair-haired Scot who was part of the half back line of Jimmy Gabriel, Brian Labone and Brian Harris. In their forward line, the money team of the time had the likes of Roy Vernon, Bobby Collins and the 'golden vision', Alex Young. RIP Jimmy Gabriel.

Re: Jimmy Gabriel RIP
Don't remember Jimmy as a footballer but remember him as a coach under Redknapp at Bournemouth in the 80s
