His performances have not been good enough to replace any of the House amateurs

It seems that maybe we have seen the last of Parry as a House player.
What makes you think that?

Well he signed for two seasons so unless there has been a fall out or a change of heart I'd expect that to be the case.
Would be odd and a poor show if he has a prearranged engagement somewhere else on Worsley cup final day. A day that has been in the calendar from the start of the season even if there was no guarantee we would be involved.

We’ve been aware all season that Stephen may miss an odd game and likely the cup final should we get there. Indeed we had to seek permission from the league prior to the season to obtain sub pros for the games he may miss.

Today was a game rearranged as a result of the Covid issue and it clashed with the Originals Women game for who he’s assistant head coach.

It’s the first game he’s missed!

I heard some nonsense around the ground today.

When you consider that pros arrive late at the start of the season, leave before the end of the season and get taken away on mid season camps etc, Parry missing an odd game didn’t seem to be an issue but some of the reaction has been ridiculous.

Have we got a sub pro lined up for the final or is it too early yet? Rehman today looked decent. Didn't he help us out whilst Ocky had his injury?

He's not doing too bad according to the LL website. 38 wkts and 515 runs. I presume that's just league only?

With more games to play.

Just weighing up all the options👍

Rehman has been solid for us when we’ve had him, he was unlucky not to get the 2018 final but we went with COsgrove and that turned out well!

Not sure what some folk expect, he’s had a 3-4 lean games with the bat but been great prior to that.

That's what i thought. Going through a lean few weeks with the bat but has quite a few solid knocks behind him. Been consistent with the ball. Doesn't give much away which creates pressure and takes regular wickets.
Problem is i think some folk ecpect a Price or a Smit.

No me neither off todays showing. 0/54 from 9. Not pro standard with the ball.

He's got more wickets than Parry. Either 42 or 48 can't remember which.

I haven't seen either in the flesh though.

That surprises me off what i saw today. Parry isn't a wicket machine but he is usually difficult to score against. Price did neither today.

Just seen Clitheroe post they had sold over 500 tickets for the Worsley cup final. Decent effort by them or is it joint online sales with Lowerhouse?

It’s online sales, I’ve bought a stack for a large group of us etc.

Physical tickets being delivered to the club this week.

I worry about space at Clitheroe but assume they have a plan.

Plenty big enough is Clitheroe, I've been to 20/20 finals day there and cup finals in the past, they had loads of space left.

I did try but they're away on ther jolly hols. The little lad is doing really well at the
coaching sessions and got batter of the week last week. Wednesday nights 6.15 until 7
if you fancy a look down. Most of the family are there and it's a lovely meet up.

Look forward to seeing you there pal.

According to the LL stats Parry has 347 league runs , Heap and Whitehead have more from an innings less. He also has only 27 wkts .

I would call that mediocre at best but that is my opinion only yours might be different.

Tellingly his best bowling return came against Colne also his highest score with the bat. :o

Yeah you're right. I clicked on the professionals averages rather than Div1.
Must include cup and 20/20 games.

Supporters always want match winners and entertainers for paid men.

Judge at the end of the season. He might have won you a few more games by then?
