Is that an increase on previous prices for friendly games.

Brilliant. I can’t make Blackpool (or, more accurately, I’m not allowed so close to holiday with the self-isolation risk ) so pleased I can catch it there.

Pricing reasonable given my lads will likely watch it with me too.

I wouldn't pay that for a premier League game never mind a proxy kickabout.

Not that I'm bothered either way, but it does pose a question.

Are they charging that because of Blackpool and Forest charging it, or are we really just seeing the beginning of where the septics are taking us?

I paid the higher monthly fee (£4.99?) for ages with no live streams so this isn't as bad as it might seem.

Don't be tight, it's good value at 6 pound, it will work out at about 20p per substitution

The downside of the club trying to get a mass worldwide fanbase (mainly armchair) is that everything would be charged for, so I expect this trend to continue. I think Bin Ont Turf is correct (and luckily, the new owners aren’t likely to get rhyming slang  ).

That said, it would be nice for these games to be available for free to season ticket holders, especially given that many may miss a few games this season due to Covid nervousness depending on case rates at the time. It would be a good gesture and they are only friendlies.

Am I right in thinking even though I have a fully paid up clarets player subscription till Sept. I have to pay extra for these games? If so that's why it keeps asking me to sign in even though I'm signed in and wont give me video only audio.

Shameful charging on top of Clarets Player
It is the beginning of the push to increase the " secondary spend " of the fans. That seems to be a big part of the ALK plan to pay for off our newly gained debts and interest payments. However, I don't think they have realised that things don't work the same as they do in the US were the fans spend more at each game.

The revenue we get from match days is negligible these days and if every fan doubles their spending it would only raise £1-2m which wouldn't leave much left after the salaries of all our new directors are paid.

The basic idea is that more revenue is needed so the fans can pick up the clubs debt ridden tab by paying more.

Naturally, that also ignores the fact that maintaining the " primary spend " of the fans will be hard enough, with people losing their jobs, afraid of losing their jobs and being cautious with their spending or not attending matches because they aren't comfortable with the Covid risk to themselves and others.

Charging a fee to watch these matches on top of the basic Clarets Player fee is an insult if it is down to us. They should be free as a reward to the existing fans and free for everyone who might have an interest in following the club. Encouraging the development of a worldwide fan base will be hard enough - without charging people to watch friendlies out of the gate.

Expect replays to cost extra and the game to be interrupted at regular intervals with adverts for tempting virtual twix deals.

Looking good in parts.

Think our centre mids are both struggling to get involved. We are regularly going long.

Richardson probably player of the half so far for me.

At the opposite end of your scale are plenty of Burnley fans, who want increased spending on players and wages, on some mythical profit, whilst season tickets are frozen and all comms, media and matches should be streamed free. The fact that doubled spend only yields £1-£2m extra tells you how far below the curve the last commercial operation had the performance with 5 years in the premier league behind them.

Fair play to the Blackpool commentary team. They are giving Burnley every credit.

We are wasting too many opportunities at the moment. Second half could be a very different story thouh as Blackpool tire.

Hmmm, McNeil having had a strong start faded after 20 mins or so. Strange as he's up against a trialist FB.

Let's hope for a bit better after the break.

I like Gomez though and Collins looks useful going forward as well.

It’s a different game live. We’re awful.

Richardson is constantly whining, McNeil throwing his hands in the air. Long balls from the back coming down with snow on, Keogh must be laughing in the changing room.

Barnes stripped and ready to come on…

Good feed and fair commentary. Gomez looks good enough for a start for me. Bit unsure on Collins he seems to go walk abouts and defends to centrally rather than stick to the right of centre.

Each to there own but £10 well worth it fir 2 matches

Either that or Blackpool had arranged coverage and we're charging the same as their fans are paying.

Our build up play is a bit rushed, and not accurate enough.
And we play far too much long ball.
Gomez-Mancini putting in plenty of effort, I don't think he plays wide right as a rule.

Yeah like the look of Gomez works hard and seems quite composed on the ball. Collins not had a great half defensively but looks tidy on the ball… stream been great so far.

Collins looks comfortable on the ball, been postisonslly caught out a couple of times.

Richardson looks like a real talent! Shame he didn’t go with the left foot from the Rodriguez ball in it would have been 1-0.

Gomez-Mancini looks lively, hoping he doesn’t get subbed at half time so I can see a little more of him. He’s ventured from the wide right position, coming central into the box quite a few times which has encouraged me, but need to see more of him.

As for the central midfielders , we have played mostly over the top of them anyway, but Brownhill must show more composure on the ball, he suits a 3 much more than a 2 .
