Who was the first Oldham keeper (trialist)
On Saturday Oldham had 2 trialists in goal but who played the first half and some of the 2nd for them?
I ask as when he came over to our fans for the 2nd half he clapped all of the stand we were in and then repeated it when he was subbed.
Has he got a connection with our club? Did he think we were home fans with him being a trialist? Or did he just like crowd interaction?

Just watched the goal highlights again - don't recognise him

He got a bit of an applause coming over for the 2nd half after a few decent saves, then I think he just showed his appreciation again when he was subbed.
Ive seen a few home teams clap the opposition GK has he takes his position before the kick off 1st or 2nd half, regardless of if they were connected to the home team or not.

If the away side are defending the Jimmy Mac end in the 2nd half then their goalkeeper usually gets a round of applause from the Burnley fans in that stand as he approaches his goal, and the keeper usually recipricates.
I say usually because not every keeper is made welcome at that end.

We try and give some stick to the away keepers in the CF stand, especially the ones that take more than 3 seconds over goal kicks.Targetman wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 5:42 pmIf the away side are defending the Jimmy Mac end in the 2nd half then their goalkeeper usually gets a round of applause from the Burnley fans in that stand as he approaches his goal, and the keeper usually recipricates.

A suggestion from some Oldham fans first half keeper could have been Rogers from Kilmarnock. They want Richardson and Mancini on loan!

Was it Joe Lewis who was the Aberdeen keeper against us? Former Peterborough keeper I think.
