Why no away fans at Forest ?
Is it to do with the previous history between our fans off the pitch ? The young Forest fan who got killed in Burnley and the violent clashes between the two clubs on Blackpool promenade ?
I know alot of Forest fans hate Burnley for the first incident.
Or isit just something else ? Seems strange.

Ridiculous. Some clubs really can’t see the wood for the trees.

Why did Burnley arrange a friendly with a club who hates us and won’t let our fans into the ground? Seems like it is whoever organised the friendly is at fault. It is almost as stupid as organising a friendly against a German side and not expecting any crowd trouble from them.

I doubt it has anything to do with an incident that happened around 20 years ago. No idea what the Blackpool reference is.
It would be odd for a club to arrange a friendly with a team who's fans weren't welcome.
Maybe something to do with this covid thing that I've heard whispers about?

Blackpool has a very high rate of covid cases I believe and this was the reason for denying away fans I believe.
Not sure if its a similar decision for Forest but can see it being part of the decision.

Apologies to all, it's my fault; I will be within half a mile of the City Ground on Saturday, with ample time to have gone and watched the game, but God wants me to have a rotten life.

I think it's just the cost of stewards and police will be a lot higher with 400 away fans.PadihamThickNeck wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 8:00 pmIs it to do with the previous history between our fans off the pitch ? It’s all about them not previously having had a test event which they need to do with home fans.

Re: Why no away fans at Forest ?
Sorry completely misread the posts
I had noted Blackpool were due to play Glasgow Rangers but covid had caused an issue due to an outbreak of covid within the Blackpool camp - so that game had been postponed.
Also been reading today that Blackpool is suffering quite badly with Covid cases.
Thought someone had referenced no away fans at Blackpool so seemed plausible in my brain it could be linked to that - but clearly not. Sorry for the confusion.
