Another staff member on the move…Darren Mowbray

Post by BurnleyPaul » Wed Jul 28, 2021 11:21 am

Interesting….looks like the back room reshuffling is continuing. Wonder if he left of his own volition?

Better know as the Blackburn manager's brother - Darren has been at Burnley for some time.

Wonder if he’s being replaced or if the role is being subsumed into something else?

Really would love to find out how ALK are reshaping things in the recruitment area in order to improve it.

Is there any chance of transparency over this I wonder?

Surely they’ve noticed the difficulty in recruitment from identifying, analysing, negotiating and securing and then maybe thought we need a new approach and/or new eyes I don’t know

Sounds to me like a promotion, in which case good luck and mutually beneficial since it provides an opportunity for us to reshape things.

Looks like a larger strategy to me. Get recruitment up in friendly clubs and first dibs on talent that would suit Burnley. Not feeder clubs so much as a group of clubs playing swap-sys to keep the prices down.

From what I’m told he will be a huge miss but he’s landed himself the top job at Aberdeen.

Nothing to approve or disapprove of here. A member of staff has taken a job elsewhere.

Of course dyche could approve, or disapprove about the move, ridiculous to suggest otherwise..... Whether he has any say in it is a different matter
I approve that everyone gets jabbed, but can do nowt about it either way.

Ah, that’s a shame but good news for him.

Is Rigg still with us? Heard differing reports but he was talking on 5live during the Euros and he was announced as “former Head of Talent Management at the FA” rather than current or any subsequent roles.

If he has moved on, there’s a few big roles to fill now, including the U23 manager.

Rigg is still listed on the staff list on the club’s website but I believe he is no longer with us.

Another staff member on the move…Darren Mowbray

Based on activity to date the only area which has grown is the Corporate Hospitality Team which is typically the American way. I am not against marketing the Club around the world but I would prefer to have a decent time as part of the marketing strategy instead of electronic notice boards etc.
