I don't think Colne could cope with another year in the top league by default Lenny. They need to start winning games so the players keep turning up.Longsidelenny1882 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:26 pmSat in Rodney bloke just informed me problems at crompton cc sounds like colne won’t be bottom of the league much longer allegedly upthecolne
That will only happen in B league I'm afraid.

Re: Lancashire League
To be fair, Price was usually the main reason they won as many games as they did to gain promotion. He was a huge loss for them and they've never really recovered.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:58 pmI don't think Colne could cope with another year in the top league by default Lenny. So Crompton now bottom of the league on the Lancs League website but no reason given apart from a breach of rules

Crompton have been charged with fielding an illegible player regarding their pro.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 2:10 pmSo Crompton now bottom of the league on the Lancs League website but no reason given apart from a breach of rules
It's complicated involving agents and another club but Border force might still be investigating so I'm not putting details up here.
I'm sure it will be discussed around the grounds at the weekend though.
45 points and a grand fine for the club.

The club have been fined and dealt with, it's the other issues they are still interested in apparently.

Re: Lancashire League
Crompton deducted 45 points
Re: Lancashire League
They beat Harwood in the quarter final of the T20 denying us the chance to host a lucrative finals day at The Cliffe. I hope this ban isn’t down to any of the players who played that evening because a points deduction doesn’t help us.

Depends on how many the pro scored. I’ve just come of the phone to a old polo playing friend who is on the committee at Church and he’s just filled me in. Sounds like a job for Pritti Patel

Re: Lancashire League
I've had the low down on what went on from a league club chairman, so I'm pretty sure it's accurate, but like others I'm reluctant to put it on here as it might contravene certain codes or even legalities. Having said that, it has impacted in some way on every fixture they have played this season, including the T20 quarter final against Gt Harwood which they narrowly won securing themselves as the hosts for the T20 finals day and a big pay day.

Bear in mind they would have had a different pro if it wasn't for this mess, I don't think it's right to say it has influenced the matches.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 8:00 pmI've had the low down on what went on from a league club chairman, so I'm pretty sure it's accurate, but like others I'm reluctant to put it on here as it might contravene certain codes or even legalities. Yes, true. I suppose when I say it has "impacted on their results", it's fair to say not every impact may have been positive as we'll never know what the impact would have been had they done things properly.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 8:54 pmBear in mind they would have had a different pro if it wasn't for this mess, I don't think it's right to say it has influenced the matches.

Aye, its either the top ranking cup competition, in which case the final should be at OT, or it isnt.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 12:36 pmIt's just great news for any local cricketer who might get the chance.

Lowerhouse must be taking a few over to Clitheroe as they have sold over a thousand tickets. Must be on course for beating the record gate receipts of the Lowerhouse Burnley game?
