I don't think Colne could cope with another year in the top league by default Lenny. They need to start winning games so the players keep turning up.Longsidelenny1882 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:26 pmSat in Rodney bloke just informed me problems at crompton cc sounds like colne won’t be bottom of the league much longer allegedly upthecolne
Too right. Relegation here we come. Then we can win the league again!!!Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:58 pmI don't think Colne could cope with another year in the top league by default Lenny. They need to start winning games so the players keep turning up.
That will only happen in B league I'm afraid.
To be fair, Price was usually the main reason they won as many games as they did to gain promotion. He was a huge loss for them and they've never really recovered.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:58 pmI don't think Colne could cope with another year in the top league by default Lenny. At least its positive.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:49 pmColne going to be unbeaten this weekend. Things really looking up now
Crompton have been charged with fielding an illegible player regarding their pro.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 2:10 pmSo Crompton now bottom of the league on the Lancs League website but no reason given apart from a breach of rules
Similar to the clarets. If not this year then maybe next yearSomethingfishy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 3:13 pmSo that is the relegation places sorted then? Rochdale will be breathing easier...and Lowerhouse too going off some comedians on here
Border force all sounds very seriousQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 2:57 pmCrompton have been charged with fielding an illegible player regarding their pro.
It's complicated involving agents and another club but Border force might still be investigating so I'm not putting details up here.
I'm sure it will be discussed around the grounds at the weekend though.
45 points and a grand fine for the club.
The club have been fined and dealt with, it's the other issues they are still interested in apparently.
Tittle tattle keeps us all entertained but I asked somebody who would know.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 4:21 pmI like you had heard on it was something to do with the pro but preferred not to listen to tittle tattle
I prefer info that Lenny brings us from The RodneyQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 4:31 pmTittle tattle keeps us all entertained but I asked somebody who would know.
They beat Harwood in the quarter final of the T20 denying us the chance to host a lucrative finals day at The Cliffe. I hope this ban isn’t down to any of the players who played that evening because a points deduction doesn’t help us.
Depends on how many the pro scored. I’ve just come of the phone to a old polo playing friend who is on the committee at Church and he’s just filled me in. Sounds like a job for Pritti Patel
The big pay day was probably 3 times the time I imagineDark Cloud wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 8:00 pmI've had the low down on what went on from a league club chairman, so I'm pretty sure it's accurate, but like others I'm reluctant to put it on here as it might contravene certain codes or even legalities. Having said that, it has impacted in some way on every fixture they have played this season, including the T20 quarter final against Gt Harwood which they narrowly won securing themselves as the hosts for the T20 finals day and a big pay day.
Bear in mind they would have had a different pro if it wasn't for this mess, I don't think it's right to say it has influenced the matches.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 8:00 pmI've had the low down on what went on from a league club chairman, so I'm pretty sure it's accurate, but like others I'm reluctant to put it on here as it might contravene certain codes or even legalities. Yes, true. I suppose when I say it has "impacted on their results", it's fair to say not every impact may have been positive as we'll never know what the impact would have been had they done things properly.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 8:54 pmBear in mind they would have had a different pro if it wasn't for this mess, I don't think it's right to say it has influenced the matches.
Glad to see it, even as a 'House fanQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 12:30 pmAt least Burnley get to play their Lancs Cup final at Old Trafford. Sunday 22nd August 11am start.
Coach setting off at 9.30am at 15pp.
It's just great news for any local cricketer who might get the chance.
Aye, its either the top ranking cup competition, in which case the final should be at OT, or it isnt.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 12:36 pmIt's just great news for any local cricketer who might get the chance.
Between Northern CC and Ormskirk.
Well they want to get a move on it’s 2 weeks on Sunday. Maybe we should just play a mixed 11 we would beat them
"Coach" as in singular?? When 'Ouse played in that final about 3 years ago there was a fleet of coaches to Old Trafford!!!Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 12:30 pmAt least Burnley get to play their Lancs Cup final at Old Trafford. Sunday 22nd August 11am start.

As stated, they got to the final at Old Trafford. Sadly it was rained off after about an hour's play and wasn't completed.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 2:28 pmWhy you even getting involved? How far did Lowerhouse get?
A club that’s only existed since 2005 living off past glories. ImagineDark Cloud wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 2:32 pmAs stated, they got to the final at Old Trafford. Sadly it was rained off after about an hour's play and wasn't completed.
The "Coach" is actually a mini bus but in case they fill it they have a taxi booked as back up.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 2:12 pm"Coach" as in singular?? When 'Ouse played in that final about 3 years ago there was a fleet of coaches to Old Trafford!!!
