Dusty Hill - ZZ Top

Post by ElectroClaret » Wed Jul 28, 2021 10:32 pm

Dusty Hill, bassist with rock band ZZ Top has died aged 72.
Made some great singles, never saw em in concert, but were very good reportedly.

Sad news ... Saw them at The Monsters of Rock at Donnington 83 ... always made me smile about Frank Beard (drummer) was the one without a beard.

RIP Dusty Hill

RIP Dusty.
Saw them in Cork not many years ago, top night. He was strapped up like he had a repetitive stress injury but he still put on some show.

Saw a biography programme on them not long ago. It was really interesting and they seemed decent people. Learnt to drum to their songs.

Saw them headline at Donington years ago in the 80s. Remember buying gimme all your lovin before they had any big hits after seeing them on the Old Grey Whistle Test. Then Eliminator came out and they got big thanks to MTV
