For those who think we should simply splash the cash this is a timely reminder how quickly finances can be impacted by outside events.

On the other hand it may mean there's bargains to be had from the European leagues, France in particular, and this is an area we desperately need to improve in our scouting and recruitment processes.

If you look at the prices being paid in France by French teams - there has been little overall drop in value for which players are being allowed to leave, and that is just as true if the players are moving to other countries
