The Micky Mellon connection must have helped swing this, good to see the 1st team are going to get some decent action prior to the season starting.

Unfortunately for anybody wishing to attend it's behind closed doors.

Good. Went there with bury on a friday night which was normal then and everton/liverpool fans attended and caused mayhem. Horrible bastards.

Indeed Burypaddy, had 1 or 2 encounters there myself in the past, not sure if they were Tranmere/Everton/Liverpool.

Given it was scheduled to be our u23s, maybe it's the Michael Jackson connection.

Man Utd have just called off their Friendly with Preston so they’ve now become available.

Would have provided a sterner test but glad we’ve managed to get a game in.

Well that’s cheered me up! Prenton Park is a ten minute drive for me so I was gutted when I found out we were playing them as I’m away this weekend. So the fact it’s behind closed doors is a bit of a relief for me!
