I'm sure it wont be as rowdy as when the pub was in full swing until x time in the morning. I'm sure there only 1 maybe 2 houses on that block.

Is it not student accommodation?

I was right across the road last Sunday at St Catherine's church and I'm sure I saw a notice about it.

Yes it is..... but to cram 14 Bedrooms in such a building seems excessive.

Shame. My great great grandfather took on the licence there in 1888 and continued as landlord until the early 1890s. His brother was still turning out for the reserves at this time having been a first team regular in 1883/84

i think that was probably a different pub. there was a foresters arms on bank parade until 1931 and i think at the time you mention that tod road address was a dwelling.

14 bedrooms in such a small building - I'm surprised it got passed. Then again, I'm not in the least bit surprised. Seems odd, though. London size bedsits in Burnley? I doubt it's going to be student accommodation. I mean, why would you come to Burnley to study, only to end up in a pokey place when there's bigger and better on offer.

No. It was the same pub. Todmorden Rd. Burnley Express 11 August 1888. The foresters was two houses knocked together
