Hope you didn't have an article prepared for his signing a la Ashley Young, Tony? ;)

As with the Ashley Young potential signing, disappointed this didn't happen - he would've fitted the Burnley mould perfectly. Let's hope we have an alternative we can move onto quickly.

Young article was fully written but had only done a little bit on Albrighton

Not disappointed with this because I didn’t believe this one. Would’ve been a solid but uninspiring signing that pushed a long-standing problem a few years down the line.

I’m hoping we have some younger, pacy options lined up, mind, otherwise I will be disappointed!

Good player but not disappointed given his age - we need to bring the average age down sharpish this or next summer.

Yes he would have been a decent acquisition, but we still need some youth and pace into the team, so not too disappointed it hasnt happened.

Also its hardly like the deal has fallen through late on, it seemed more like a passing interest.

I think we have other more probable irons in the fire

Double bluff signing a new contract but it wont fool Mr Pace. This signing is in the bag

The solution to our big right-sided problem certainly doesn't begin and end with Albrighton, there have to be other targets out there somewhere. Nevertheless, he'd have made a good signing and he's obviously still got a lot of football left in him at this level, given the new three year deal he's just signed at Leicester. His agent has played it very well.

So we move on again. It won't be Young and it won't be Albrighton. Hope our list is reasonably long.

Like Young, Albrighton would've been a good addition but only pushing our age issue a year down the line, papering over cracks.

Probably on a bigger salary than we could afford, especially looking at that Mansion. :x

Don't know where the pic was taken but it was part of Leicester's publicising the new contract

Hope we didn’t put to much effort and time into this one or pin our hopes on it. A bit old considering the age of our squad but would have been a good acquisition. Not sure how much game time he’ll get at Leicester but money probably is key.
