Brighton match

Post by brexit » Sat Jul 31, 2021 5:40 pm

Any communication from the club on the what the match day protocol is?
Will the cricket club be open as usual for away fans?
I have a couple of mates coming up from Brighton for the match who ave bought tickets in the away end.

I presume clubs are waiting on information from the Prem before announcing anything.

Don't see why pubs wouldn't be open as normal? We've supposedly dropped all legal restrictions.

Oldham was great, pubs open. People sat singing having a good time. How it should be

The football club don't have any say over the cricket club.

Best to message them directly.

Indeed - Appendix 15 of the 2021/22 Handbook is still awaiting agreement on Appendix 15: Matchday Protocols (Covid-19) at the moment

Our website is the worst, it's painful to use. A spellcheck would be good every now and again also.

It's the most League Two thing about the club.

No article on the home page for some reason but if you go to the TICKET section and select HOME GAMES from the drop down on the top right you should find them for sale.

Looks like 35 quid in the north stand upper, but 50 quid in the Bob Lord?

Must be really pushing the Bob Lord as the primo, section

North stand central is £50 at the front and £40 at the back.

Same in the Bob Lord centre and £40 in the wings.

Seems an extortionate amount, especially in an area such as Burnley.

£62 for a ticket at Arsenal is do-able for them, for example as they have a far bigger reach, but £50 seems a lot.

Can't see take up be overly great with those prices.

Yeah its weird, shows cheaper when you hover over the sections. Assume the code hasn't been updated

£50 and no concessions that I can see.

This is Burnley and not Barcelona, not a good start by our new owners

There are concessions available for each seat. Select one and then it gives you the option of changing the type lower down the screen.

Most tickets are £30-£35 which is probably decent in the Prem, I wouldn't pay it like, but then season tickets are way better value.

That £50 for a ticket to watch Burnley v Brighton in the Bob Lord must be a case of testing the water and see if anyone will actually pay it. I think the answer will be 'no'.

I don’t think the phrases ‘community club’ and ‘fifty pound match tickets’ can go in the same sentence.

Yep I logged in using my account details and yes concessions across the board.

Example £40 for over 65s, which is still to much even in this day and age for most I would have thought.

They are in the seats where they have lifted the season ticket prices ridiculously.

To put a positive spin on it, 30 quid tickets in JML mean ST Holders get 7 "free" games at current prices

Clearly they want people in search of cheaper tickets to move to cheaper sections.

JHU and Bob Lord provide the premium view so should, in their opinion, reap premium revenues

There are seats in the ground that will be 25% more expensive than they were last time we went. There are also seats now that differ between rows which I noticed with the season tickets too with the new prices.

In summary it appears that they our new Directors have imposed substantial price increases across the board.

And if many can’t and or won’t afford those increased prices what will they do next I wonder.

These price rises are a massive own goal in my opinion, the goodwill that will be lost for the relatively miniscule financial gain is totally counter-productive.

The only way it will work is if we get two or three key signings that can start in the first eleven and a flying start.
Given that probably won't happen, full houses getting behind the team we have got will be the twelfth man, playing in front of swathes of empty seats will be like playing with ten men.

I'm sorry but there is a lot of over reaction here.
I checked this morning. The seat next to mine is available at £40. This is exactly what I paid when I bought it for my son for the Spurs game which was the last game we could attend before lock down.

The last seat I bought vs Man City was £20 now it’s £24.50 that’s an increase of 18% personally I am fortunate enough to be able to afford it, but really what’s the point the financial gain is relatively minimal.

One strand of this seems to be to tap into the silver pound.

You could argue that at £20 it was under priced

Wonder what market research they've done to price the seats accordingly?

If they have simply looked at other seat prices in the Premier league it simply won't work, especially for games against teams outside of the big six sides.

You could let your son in first and scan it for him and then go in yourself or depending on how old your son is you could forward the email on to him and you could both use your own phones

They need to be aware of average salaries earned in a 25 mile radius of Burnley. They cant just look at what other PL teams charge as the salaries in the majority of these locations will be significantly higher. Thats where proper market research comes in. The breweries and pubs adjust their prices for a pint of the same beer to each region on this basis

Actually that is a good idea. Scan him in first, get him through the turnstile then scan myself in. Nice one , thanks. :)

You need to firstly register yourself on the Club website. That then generates a Clarets membership number, which you need to purchase a ticket.
