There will surely be a surge in attendances at the start of the season, will quickly die down though.
I suspect a lot of people have found other things to do and a lot of people wont be able to afford the new prices especially given the last year or so with job losses etc. I can see there being an enormous amount of empty seats unfortunately

Odd

To say I was so excited to get back on the Turf, those prices for walk ons and the likely huge increase in season ticket prices next year will be a tough one to overcome for me.

What a terrible shame.

I think the opposite tbh. The diehards will be itching to get back, but it's been so long that some people have got out of the habit and found other things to do.
The prices don't help either when there's so many games on TV.

I take your point but am not too sure it will happen. There were figures mentioned on here a couple of weeks ago regarding our friendly at Oldham. Some thought we might take 4,000 plus, others suggesting 2 to 3 thousand. I think it was less than one thousand that actually went. The optimism, for many people at least, is still shrouded by caution. The transition from zero attendances to potential full houses may take a little more time, I suspect but I stress it's only an opinion.

How many years have season ticket prices been frozen for?... Add that to us having some of the cheapest tickets in the league, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out they would go up at some stage.

They're absolutely delusional if they think people will pay £50 a seat regularly, there's absolutely no chance. As for £30 for the Jimmy Mac lower  they would have to pay me £30 to sit in that stand.

So much for communication, backing the manager in the market, family club and understanding the town/club/people.

I think we all knew it was coming, those debts need repaying, but just a bit shocked at how much it’s all gone up by.

So basically everyone besides ALK are funding the debt for ALK to buy the club.

I got bored with football during lockdown, it felt like it didn’t matter, even when we were facing relegation.

The price increases as well as the thought of driving 45 minutes there then sitting in traffic for an hour to get home afterwards makes me wonder why I ever bothered.

I wouldnt pay 50 quid for my seat in the bob lord, but those in the middle,in front of The pillars are good value at 50 quid..
Lets see what season tickets prices are next season before hanging Mr Pace in the town square

You make a fair point, but the big clubs who charge high prices generally have players worth paying high amounts to watch.

We sadly don't.

The English game stinks, you can get a Borussia Dortmund season ticket for £200 in the standing section where you can drink a beer in a stadium packed. £50 to sit in the Bob Lord in a boring atmosphere, 75% full stadium, no alcohol at your seat and view restricted by a pole.

I can't say I have ever bought a ticket for Burnley because of the opposition players.

Some might though.

Don't know where not backing the manager is coming from either - clearly backed him for Collins, we were obviously in for Young and we evidently have deals ongoing. Other than the big money clubs, transfer market hasn't exactly been on fire.

I wouldn't be paying £50 for a Bob Lord ticket but price rises were inevitable, and I don't think prices are entirely unreasonable elsewhere in the ground. Some people want to have their cake and eat it - think dandeclaret sums it up pretty succinctly above.

Frankly KRBFC, its stuff like this that makes you sound like a bit of a knob.
Preferences vary as to vantage points. Personally I'd take a seat in the JML long before I'd sit at the very back of the Longside....each to their own.

I sit in the longside upper block 5. £570 seems about fair for a season ticket next year. We can’t whinge at the owners for not spending money yet not expect to pay the going rate for tickets.

By the time you add on the cost of return flights to Germany the BL price sounds like a bargain!

Sixth consecutive Premier League appearance not enough? It’s hardly like we’ve stood down from making any more deals too. Kept our big names (so far). One of our greatest ever managers ever seems far more happier. The slices are there if you want them to be.

You've missed the point there. I was referring to ALK's contribution - as in plenty of debt, prices for fans going up, and an (as yet) unsuccessful attempt at improving the team. Not much to whet the appetite there so far.

People complaining that we don't sign any players, but are in uproar when they are asked to pay a bit more for there tickets. We are a small town club and always will be.

Not so sure I have. Debt isn’t necessarily a bad thing and we have improved the squad with Collins and losing nobody of real note. We had cash in the bank with Garlick but so what? It wasn’t being spent. The most crucial thing though is Dyche is far, far happier so clearly likes what he’s hearing. As we saw under Garlick, he wasn’t afraid to rattle the cage if not impressed.

Deals for a club like us are incredibly difficult and often last minute thorough sheer necessity. Let’s see where we’re at when it SLAMS SHUT before sticking the Leonard Cohen on. There’s clearly talks ongoing. And as mentioned, I really don’t think the match day price increases are that awful - it had to happen at some point and I think people I’ve honed in on the Bob Lord cost.

You're right, we'll have to wait and see where we are at the end of the window. If nothing of note materialises though, we'll be left with the worst of both worlds. Prices going but no improvement to the team, which is the paradigm many seem to be citing. Prices going up will of course be easier to swallow and understand if there is tangibility in the club progressing.

As for Dyche being happier. I think it's only fair we judge that when the window closes too, in that case. Still no sign of his signature on this new contract, as far as I can tell.

Yeah, £50 is a bit much. Suspect there aren’t many of those seats free though.

£30 a game is very reasonable

just being speaking to a mate I used to go to all the games with, home and away we hardly ever missed. Due to his job he hasn't had a season ticket for the last 5 seasons but walks on at 8-10 games per season. He's not going this season as he can't justify the spend for him and his family. I feel that will be a very repeated story for many people.

just being speaking to a mate I used to go to all the games with, home and away we hardly ever missed. Due to his job he hasn't had a season ticket for the last 5 seasons but walks on at 8-10 games per season. He's not going this season as he can't justify the spend for him and his family. I feel that will be a very repeated story for many people.
I’m not surprised in the least, what are the Directors thinking of £50 for one game is way over the top.

£45 for the seat next to me in block3 lower longside. It has been £30 for a long time but a 50% increase is a bit much when inflation is said to be about 3%. I think there will be many green dot available seats on the ticketing website for this match right up to KO.

There was quite a campaign on here to prevent Phase 2 prices from being increased. No doubt the increase in the cost of match day tickets will be an attempt to recoup some of this potential lost revenue.

Some of the prices seem extortionate, but that’s mainly because we’ve had it so good for so long. I think generally over the next few years we’ll see people relocate around the ground and the premium seats will be almost fully occupied by season ticket holders, but not necessarily the same ones as now.
