Having to wait for the lights, after tge warm up, made the difference.
If you mean the original start I agree. I’ve long said there should be a time limit on forming the grid after the pole sitter takes his position. 20 cars and position 1 can be sat there for 30 seconds before the first red light comes on. They could very easily come around the final bend side by side at warm up speed.

One of the best races I’ve watched.
Pleased for Alpine/Ocon, AM/Vettel.
If Lewis loses this Championship though, he only has himself to blame, what with the brake magic error & forgetting to pit
Would a long term condition / Ailment explain his possible indecisions recently?

Tbf Tim ,Lewis ( though incredibly quick and up there with the greats IMO ) has always been bloody awful with car/race decisions and relies totally on his pit radio. He’s an out n out “ eye balls out “ driver more in the mode of a Mansell than a driver who knows the mechanical intricacies and subtleties of the car like a Prost or Lauda ,while Senna was both .
