flip that on its head, that would by my worst nightmare!mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 1:21 pmExactly this 100%. We have whilst we retain Premier League status a great opportunity to capture the next East Lancs generation of football lovers.
By example... I coach an under 8s team. The majority of the lads are Burnley fans. Many with a ST, one of the lads dads is a big Blackburn fan. His lad refuses to wear a Blackburn jersey, and repeatedly asks his dad for a Burnley kit, and keeps asking him to take him on the Turf. My team isn't based in Burnley either! These are the fans we need to keep for the next generation.
We should be doing everything we can to get them in and Burnley as their first team.

I know... I don't think his dad is too happy with all the Burnley supporting dads encouraging the lad to be a Claretgandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 1:54 pmflip that on its head, that would by my worst nightmare!

I've enjoyed the privilege of a corporate box, not at TM however, but at Celtic Park. a friend of my dads either got it as a works perk, or he won it, can't exactly remember it was almost 20 years ago now, and given how bitter the Scottish weather was that evening it was very welcome. especially at HT, and the drink was on the house also, so that was a good evening had by us all.mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 1:53 pmHoping so! Would love a do in one of the new boxes. Don't get me wrong, I am happy in the CFS, but wouldn't mind seeing how the other half (5%) watch a game.

They've sold it to themselves and are renting it back.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:02 pmSo, now theyve sold their 'Senior' training spot, where do they practice saddling up now?

Similar to what we did with Turf Moor to Barry Kilby?

Cheers.
Didn't really know what was going on.
The Venky folk must have poured more money in than Uncle Jack did, by now.

Jack Walkers financial contribution is a drop in the ocean compared to what Venkys have put in

Every year Venky's issue new shares to either prop up the debt or ward off FFP.
I'm no financial expert but is there a limit to how often they can do this or do they carry on ad infinitum?

It’s a measure of how the money in football has changed that the amount Jack Walker invested probably wouldn’t be enough to guarantee promotion out of the Championship now.
