Nothing wrong with that. Capable of staying up.
Re: Expected Line Up v Brighton
Can see Vydra being dropped as he was late back to pre season with Dyche’s favourite Barnes back fit I think he will start him.

Hoping Nick Pope is back on Saturday. If so, you'd be expect him to be ok for Brighton

Barnes and Jay will start.
Re: Expected Line Up v Brighton
Hopefully the lineup will be a little different to last season, by the time we play Everton.

Re: Expected Line Up v Brighton
I'm sick of 4-4-2.
Hennessey (assuming Pope isn't ready)
Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters
Westwood, Brownhill, Cork, JBG (or Cornet if he can be played)
McNeil
Wood

Re: Expected Line Up v Brighton
You maybe but only playing one up front means the ball keeps coming back, one up front has never worked for Burnley in Premier and Dyche knows that by now.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:27 pmI'm sick of 4-4-2.

I wasn’t aware that we had signed this Cornet fella.

Worked fine when Hendrick played in the hole. I'm looking for better ball retention here.
That's why I said "if he can be played.

Ball retention? well they would certainly see a lot of the ball weather we retain it or not.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:44 pmWorked fine when Hendrick played in the hole. I'm looking for better ball retention here.

I can’t remember that happening with Hendrick or anyone else, as I say Dyche rarely plays one up front for good reasons.

I don’t know as I say it never seemed to work in Premier.
Oh thinking about it did when Coyle was here and that wonderful first game back in the top flight against Man Utd when Paterson was up front.

This season I would love to see Dwight McNeil in that No10 position, I'd change formations just to make it happen.

Just bump a similar thread from the Brighton home game 4 years ago. You won’t be far off
