Re: Messi
Messi is an amazing footballer and I had the pleasure to watch him live 2 years ago at the Nou Camp, the ball stuck to his feet like glue, a truly amazing footballer.
Barca where playing United and they made them look like Rochdale, Messi took them apart with an amazing solo performance

The time we went to Barcelona and planed to watch a game, the La Liga game that we played to watch was brought forward 24hrs and the only game on whilst we was there was the Champions League game against Basel and as they had already won the group, all the “big players” were rested

Hello Leonardo - Sean here - no need for surname. You will already know I am with the Mighty Burnley"
"I would like you to pop over for a chat. Come over to my place and I'll do Tortillas for us both - see I've got the lingo, so you'll be at home her in Burnley. We have the lad Rodriguez too. You can room with him, so you don't feel homesick. He speaks Burnley like no other"
"See you soon"

Re: Messi
i was more on about the standard of refereeing and the culture of english tackling rather than the standard of defending.
but i'm sure you could pick a couple of defenders in la liga just as pedestrian as those two,
and wtf is paahaha meant to mean?

Chelsea are after big romulu though.
Re: Messi
This is a guy who played in several el clasicos against Ramos and Pepe.
I can’t think of 1 tough tackling CH in the Premier League.
Re: Messi
Great player, possibly the best ever but now beyond his best and getting worse, his level now IMHO is 45 mins every game then now and then for City, Chelsea and that's it,no one else can afford him.PSG not attractive enough but I think their money is which is sad and could taint his reputation.

Re: Messi
At 34 he has nothing left to prove, and has all the money in the world. If it was truly all about football his next move should be the Premier League, but it should be to a smaller club, not a big six/seven to literally show what difference to a team he can truly make
Roy of the Rovers stuff, but it is his for the making.
Give him a call, Sean…… as I tell my kids…… “it’s just a conversation”

Yeah and I'm sure Roman would find funds and room for Messi, just like he signed Shevchenko when he wanted him.

Imagine not being able to re-sign one of the best players in the world because you pay Martin Braithwaite too much !

Aye, he only got 38 goals and 14 assists last season. Definitely past it
45 minutes a game

If he is going to be elsewhere next season (which I still highly doubt due to yearly boring will he/ won't he saga he seems to need) hopefully it is the MLS or Saudi.

Re: Messi
The is just a myth. Sure the PL is faster than the other leagues, but Messi's intelligence and positional and tactical awareness more than makes up for that. Because people have been used to his amazing dribbling skills, they grossly underestimate that he is one of the best passers of a football in the game. He wouldn't be the early Messi of old, but make no mistake he would still light up the PL.
