Grouting help, please
Sister in law has purchased a bag of white grout but needs a section in brown.
My best suggestion was make a cafetiere of very strong coffee and use that for the mix instead of water.
Any professionals out there to tell me I’m wrong?

Why would you chance it to save 6 quid?

Re: Grouting help, please
Don't do that, add the correct colour of acrylic paint. (water based paint)
It may be cheaper to buy coloured ready mixed grout though.

I’ve told her that. Her neighbour works at the hardware shop as well and she doesn’t need to be tight.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 10:49 pmDon't do that, add the correct colour of acrylic paint. (water based paint)

Like the people say a bag of dark brown grout will set you back a few quid and be plenty for loads of tiles.

Either get brown grout or grout paint.

I’ve done that to get several colours for diy projects. Ask your diy shop for poly vine acrylic colourant, it’s done in numerous colours. You only add the odd drop then mix, same again until you get the colour you want. It’s always best to mix a small separate amount to mess with first save getting the whole lot the wrong colour. It’s a small plastic bottle (50g) just a bit bigger than a tipex bottle.
