Matchday parking

Post by Sean Dyche's Watch » Fri Aug 06, 2021 7:53 am

For anyone that drives to home games and hasn't visited the centre of Burnley since the game against Spurs in March 2020.

The majority of the car park on Centenary Way, on the same side as Tesco, isn't currently available for parking, as it is a COVID-19 testing site.

And Tesco isn’t available as they’ve started issuing parking tickets.

It's not going to be an issue tomorrow but will be from next week if the car parks are more limited.

Plenty of parking at Barley. The locals even give lifts back & forth I've heard.

Heard that they also encourage the dogging fraternity in Barley?

Yep, got myself one of those!! Only did a quick basket shop, but made the mistake of popping into Costa where the speed of service is.......don't get me started.

If you have shopped there and kept the receipt, or have proof on your club card account of purchase. Then go and see the store manager, as they have been k own to quash fines in these circumstances.

TBH Quciktempo I was rather poking fun. I have to be honest and say yes, I did get some shopping in store and yes, I did go into Costa afterwards and the service is awful and it always takes an absolute age in there, but I hadn't seen the (new??) signs regarding length of stay and i walked into town to get some other bits and fell foul. Fair cop in the end I guess, but I was shocked as I'd done similar numerous times before and nothing had happened. I will say I've never used (abused?) the parking there on matchdays.

That's utterly ridiculous in this day and age, especially when the one on Centenary Way really isn't cheap.

I've been told there is an app to download so I might do that.
