As above, if you have Sky 1 you can watch it for free....not sure what you are getting at?
Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Can't see anything but away win here, as much as we hate Arsenal we don't need Brentford picking anything up......sad, but looking at other teams results already .... UTC.

Thanks for the 'heads up' on the freebie biveusaB, that's me sorted for tonight.
Peter Loo - Sky 1 is free, assuming you have access to Sky 1 of course!
Big night for Brentford - I know our first taste of the Prem was away at Stoke, but this one brings back memories of the anticipation of our first home game under the lights against Man U.

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
I’m on the fence with preferring a result here. If they get off to a flier, I’d be delighted for them but I’d rather they got thumped
Putting myself in their place, it would be nice for a fairytale start to their time in the Prem.

I'm expecting Ivan Toney to surprise a few people (on this message board anyway) and have a decent debut season and score a few goals.

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Nothing against Brentford, and I generally enjoy every Arsenal loss - however, I hope Brentford get a very rude awakening of an entrance to the big league tonight.
We could do with the three promoted teams getting off to bad starts and thoroughly rooted in the mire from the off, as always.

Brentford were a very attacking side last season so looking forward in anticipation as to how much they will change their style in the PL .
Expect Arsenal to be their usual boring self under Arteta , ten passes when a couple will do

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Why anybody would want a Brentford win is beyond me, I don't often say this, but c'mon the Gunners.
Brentford: Raya, Ajer, Jansson, Pinnock, Henry, Janelt, Onyeka, Mbeumo, Norgaard, Canos, Toney. Subs: Goode, Forss, Wissa, Gunnarsson, Ghoddos, Dervisoglu, Bidstrup, Sorensen, Roerslev.
Arsenal: Leno, Chambers, White, Pablo Mari, Tierney, Sambi Lokonga, Xhaka, Pepe, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli, Balogun. Subs: Bellerin, Saka, Maitland-Niles, Holding, Cedric, Tavares, Nelson, Elneny, Hein.
And it's the Arsenal team which raises eyebrows, no Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette.
AMN on the bench, so I wouldn't assume he's going anywhere in this window.

Nearest Premier League to where I live. Couple of friends will be there. I'm happy with a Brentford win.
Always remember an exciting night at Griifin Park - just before we signed Tarks.

Where are the away fans at Brentfords new ground ? Under the tv cameras ?

Decent start by Brentford, and they don't look overawed by the occasion. little goalmouth action to mention so far.
Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Why?
I'm a Burnley supporter and I want us to have the best chance of staying up in the PL.

if you didn't know, you would think Arsenal were in red and white
Re: Brentford v Arsenal
At least you know how Brentford will play this season, based on the game so far. Very direct.

1-0
I’m not worried about Brentford at all. Let them enjoy their first game in the prem. Arsenal losing is always great to see

Devils_Advocate , do you enjoy being a complete *rsehole ALL the time?
Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Why would any Burnley fan want Brentford to win? Arsenal won’t be scraping round bottom of league. Brentford most probably will be.

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Well! they were twice last season, hence why we took 4 points off them, my worry is that Arteta will be out the door before we meet them.
Arsenal are bobbins tonight, and if anything they've got even worse since last season.
Not good for us if Brentford put 3 points on the board this early in the campaign, we need Arsenal to wake the f**k up.

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
TBF, you seem to be happy that some teams (3 will do) will be worse than us.
Some of us would rather we are better than as many as possible.
There is a difference.
Personally, I'd love Brentford to win tonight if only to kick those arrogant Arsenal fans up the jacksy

You have to be properly weird or an Arsenal fan to be wanting Arsenal to win.

Burnley will be fine, whatever Brentford do.
Have you forgotten Burnley's first home game in the Premier League? We beat ManU 1-0. We started the following season in Championship.

1-0 Brentford at HT, and they've been good value for their lead.

Arsenal look like a team of strangers
No leadership and no cohesion plan of attack
A shame as I've got a £5 on them to win

Aye, but enjoying a Brentford victory will not have one iota of an effect on the result. I.e. sit back and enjoy Arsenal getting tonked!

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Couldn’t care less who wins, if we don't do enough for ourselves then we won't deserve to stay up.
I just find it hard to believe that in spite of getting rid of Wenger, they still play tippy tippy football, and create sod all. After all these years they don't appear to have learnt anything. It's no surprise they haven't won a title for 17 years.

I haven’t a clue about the rules surrounding var but why wasn’t the build up to the goal looked it as to whether the ball was out before they scored.
