On my Samsung phone in the "gallery app" there is a resize image icon...diamondpocket wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 9:46 amwhat's the right format? JPEG? It is a JPEG format
Size is 3.61MB & was done on a camera phone
It's stored on my external hard drive
1st press the pencil icon (circled) Then the 3 dots at the top right on the image this brings down the option resize image
Click on that and you get the options ... thats how I convert the size of pictures on my phone ... but obviously all phones are different ...

Just a little shout out for the island of La Palma. We went in 2019 and attended the Dia de Indianos Festival, it was fantastic and the idea of spraying talcum powder over everyone was just mad but great fun and the people were the friendliest we have ever encountered anywhere on holiday.

Any chance of increasing it to 3MB Tony? Photographs will be better quality with more detail.

Really like that section if thr Burnley Way. Yes it's still open and doing well the times we visited over the last few months.
Roggerham Gate, closet to that picture, is still open. Billet and Bay Horse in Worsthorne - few good pubs together

Thanks Spades, I always love trying to capture these shots. The natural frame of the eyelashes, the detail of the eye, and then the hidden gem of the picture inside, showing all of the surroundings. You just need the light to bounce at the right angle, and you really do see the world through a horses eye.spadesclaret wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:09 pmdande, the horse's eye is fantastic. Re: Autumn Photo's
Earlier in the year, but they're properly fledged now, so I'm happy to share photos. This was one of 3 long eared owl chicks in Phoenix Park, Dublin, earlier this year. On the night England were beating Ukraine 4-0, we took a trip down to see if we could find them, and were very fortunate to find them perched in trees, at eye level, no more than 10-15 metres away. Plenty of photos, and then left them in peace, as darkness began to fall, and they became more active, screeching out in their distinctive style to the adults, begging for food.

Couldn’t agree more. I find myself returning to this thread time and time again - probably more than any other thread. It’s a brilliant antidote to some of the other threads where discussion descends into bickering.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 11:53 amThe quality of photos on these threads just gets better and better

Re: Autumn Photo's
I've decided to add this pic which was taken this afternoon. It's not really worthy of a place on this thread given some of the stunning photographs already posted.
The reason I've decided to post it is because of where it is and how long it is since I've been there. This has to be the nicest approach to any training ground in the country and I found it quite emotional being back somewhere I've been countless times over the years for the first time in around 20 months.

Looking South over the Isle Of Man from Maughold Head last night.
The Milky Way pointing down at Laxey, North Barrule in the middle and finally Aurora Borealis peeping through the cloud over Ramsey - all in the same image. (2 shots stitched together).
