We had Summer photo's how about some Autumn ones...

I will start it of with this bad boy who got his marching orders from our utility room this afternoon ... thats some 2" Γ— 1" I put him on (our archway) up the garden to give some scale to his size.

Certainly seen more big spiders this summer than I can ever remember… I suspect the food chain has become far healthier during lockdown. I expect foxes and badgers have had a boon with the increased rodent populations too.

The wader spectacular at RSPB Snettisham, sees flocks of up to 100,000 waders, mainly godwits, making amazing shapes as they are sandwiched between the incoming tides and the avian predators

Bosscat. We don’t live that far from you but we don’t seem to have had any birds on the patio feeders for a while now, often we get a large group of starlings early morning but recently nothing, no sparrows, blue tits etc. I clean the feeders and food regularly so can’t understand it. Do you know if starlings migrate?

We have Starlings (and all the other regulars) on ours Beddie m8 ... no idea if they (Starlings) migrate or not but we certainly have the clans gathering in the trees in the village...

Cheers Bosscat - the ,migratory flocks that cause the murmurations will soon be here. You know it's winter when they start showing up.

Was out at the weekend looking for early signs of the Deer rut, but still a bit warm, and everything was still a bit friendly. Another 4 weeks, and it will be all action.
