Him and Cullen are a joy to watch together. Aside from the on the ball stuff we see, they are both so switched on tactically and are a huge part of how Kompany has been able to get his system embedded so quickly.

Cork and cullen keeping the team together the way they care controlling the midfield
I was discussing this with my mate after the match, you wonder if Westwood will get back in, however that punt over the top he plays with his back to goal would probably pay off a lot with the pace of Tella & Benson and might not look as hopeful as it did in the premier league

Good combination, however I think that Cullen has been slightly off the last few games in the sense that he often plays the ball back or sideways instead of attempting more probing passes such as the one which set up our goal against Hull (if I'm not mistaken).

Second half he ventured somewhat deeper and was more effective.

As stated, Cork has been majestic the last few games for me

Another Rolls Royce display from old Jack and his lost legs.

He’s our engine in this team, what a player!

Absolutely spot on. Lost count of the number of times Cullen / Cork covered players today. So intelligent.

Cork in particular was a class apart today, I thought.

He's getting that really good with understanding ' with Cullen.
Jack's is Premier League class.
Cullen can only learn from his game.

The ‘times like these’ video on bud screen at start of game that has likes of Elliot duff vokes jay rod, needs cork adding to it.

After his first spell I was getting we didn’t sign him perm and then since he’s returned he’s been nothing but superb

Best by a long way in current form imo.

Maintain we’d be in the Prem had he played more last year.

It is the mystery of last season that SD didn’t play him anywhere near enough.

Be interesting to know distance covered in matches from last year to this year.
Cork seems to be covering more this year to last, but I suspect that he isnt. Better positional play in a system that he is thriving in, coupled with no need to run himself into the ground and beyond clearly helping his game.
Great player for us, imo our best "signing" this summer.

Been playing well in the deeper role and uses his guile more than those older and slower legs . He’s always been excellent for us imo ,and a good send off if he gets us promoted , not unlike Jay , JBG and ( the now sadly hopeless ) Barnes

It seems we're down to just Cork, Jay and Brownhill from the "old guard" as first team regulars. All three are superb at this level, and fair play to VK for recognising this early and building his new team around them.

nah, the Dyche/divine intervention of not playing him has resulted in what we are today, a young squad that will develop to be worth a small fortune, playing for an ambitious manager, with a very good potential of us trying things a different way should we go back up....

Best thing that could have happened IMHO

This is a very good point. Although VK might still be here & we might have similarly exciting players but married with the old experience.

That said, I’m really enjoying this season for lots of reasons & doubt I would be as much if we were in the Prem so point taken.

I''d love us to have a song for Cork, been one of our best players for years. This season he's first name on the teamsheet for me.
