Bizarre comparison tbh

Yes sometimes he appears overly loyal to certain players, but most of the time I can live with it because he's proven time and again that he knows more that anyone else on this forum about what's needed to firstly keep us up and also to get us into the top 10 which he's done twice.
Sorry, I am a bit of a sceptic.
but comments comparing SD's football knowledge to anyone on here is a bit silly.
He gets paid the thick end of £50k a week to know more than me or you.
What matters is whether he knows more than some PL managers, isn't it?

No, what matters is that he knows his players and ensures they perform to a level that means as a minimum we stay up each season.

I'd wager Big Sam knows more, but he still went down last season because he just couldn't get WBA going

I don’t want Dyche to go but I’d like to see him be more open to changing his tactics and reacting quicker in games. Reading comments on this board I’m confident I share the same view as many.
One or two myths about Dyche have been buried in recent times .

SD has just signed a 4 year extension to his contract(according to Sky sports). :)

The obvious question about the 4 year deal:
Is it to secure his services, probably along with his support staff?
or is it to ensure decent compensation if an offer comes in?

Bit of both probably, Nagelsman went to Bayern for 25m euros (record compensation for a manager), so if hes signed a four year deal then thats at least £14m payout (maybe more) if anyone wants him

People like to snipe at SD, sometimes quite justifiably. But his input to the heartbeat of Burnley Football Club I’m sure makes separation difficult to seriously contemplate. Sean will never get the level of control he enjoys at Burnley elsewhere. It is the safest job in football. When the day comes that he does call it a day we’re looking at multiple job vacancies that is going to take some navigating to keep consistency within the most important part of the club.
