2.5x over the limit and only a three month ban/£1250 fine; I trust he's paying his Solicitor a good bonus?

Re: Chris Eagles banned from driving
Can’t have been driving as it’s a mandatory 12m if he was . No way could he have only got 12 either if nearly x3 the limit Can’t open link but this sounds like an old school “ drunk in charge “ case ?. I wonder if that’s why his career quickly went down the pan after Bolton ?

he was parked in former girlfriends driveway, with fastened safety belt but no shoes!AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 3:04 pmCan’t have been driving as it’s a mandatory 12m if he was . ‘…admitted being drunk in charge of the £70,000 car, urged JPs to give him another chance and not ban him from driving altogether…’
He’s had his troubles and I feel sorry for that…was very good player for us!

Very good in the Championship but not physically strong enough for the PL

What a strange opinion. Raheem Sterling or Mohammed Salah are hardly The Hulk.Culmclaret wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 3:37 pmVery good in the Championship but not physically strong enough for the PL

“He has attended Alcohol Anonymous meetings in Altrincham,” his lawyer confirmed

Re: Chris Eagles banned from driving
Did you watch him in the PL? Easy to push off the ball and no real pace. He had enough skill to get away with it in the Championship but not enough at the next levelSleeping Cat wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 3:42 pmWhat a strange opinion. Raheem Sterling or Mohammed Salah are hardly The Hulk.
Re: Chris Eagles banned from driving
Tempted to sign him up for our over 35s team seeing as how he's local to us

He isn't supposed to be the brightest.
Re: Chris Eagles banned from driving
He must be skint. Or at least running out of cash. His time on the big money was brief.

And he knew how to spend it too.
Hope he can sort himself out, and really realises it’s not too late to resurrect his career. I never got misty eyed about Eagles, he had something… in flashes, but for me Fergie knew he was Burnley level, mid table Championship and he was far from reliable.
I wish him well.
Re: Chris Eagles banned from driving
Pity he wasn't caught by the Ribblehead Viaduct we could have had a film made about it, Shoeless near Settle, bit of a nob.

Probably still driving that white Range Rover.

No
"Eagles was found drunk and shoeless at the wheel of his Audi outside his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Metcalfe's home."

Fallen from grace. I still have good memories of his time with us. A really good player.
His white Bentley coupe parked behind the JH stand ia another thing I remember about him.
He will I’m sure have to learn to live well for less.

Used to see him driving to training in his Lambo around 2010.

Another career ruined by Judas Coyle!
