Also, I completely missed The Madjeski stadium being renamed - The Select Car Leasing Stadium

If true that's a daft injury.

Catchy title for the stadium not, I remember the days when it was still known as Elm Park. :)

That was at the old ground...Elm Park. Used to play there as a young lad and watch Reading, Reading reserves, Reading Youth with my free season ticket, from school....until the teacher wanted to pass it on to another lad! 😪

The Madeski was the new edge of town stadium built by the tip.

I think you mean that elm Park is in that part of town that isn't a tip.

Really poor drivers there, too.

Elm Park was near Prospect Park. Really nice park. The players used to train there.

I used to play there.

My early memories of reading were that it was OK -, but I only went there to go to elm Park.

Since, my visits have made me wish I was in Swindon instead. Reading just seems like a wannabee London suburb.

Think John lost interest when Cilla passed away

I once broke my hand playing a game of pool. Probably still would have won hadn't I been an idiot. Thankfully I've grown up (a bit) since then.
