Will we? I bow to you superior knowledge. I assumed that Cornet was signed to be introduced. I thought long throw ins could only be made by people in the team, and that the team would have to evolve to include them. My mistake.
You can’t really be suggesting Dyche after 9 years at the club is going to change formation?
If we didn’t change formation when we could barely field a team at the start of last year then we never will.
Nothing wrong with that, Dyche has been very successful. Cornet will come in and will play the same tactics and formations JBG does now

There’s no new lineup & nothing will be moulded, it’ll be the same old system which SD believes in & successfully so, a couple of new faces may emerge sporadically throughout the season with superficial tactical tweaks, we know how reluctant he is to swap 1 striker for another in starting berths & you seriously believe he’ll start to experiment & go against what’s served him so well during his tenure here!
It is called sustainable progression… the club has moved forward every season, look around the club is it the same club that Coyle took up, or is it a club that has been built from bottom up ready to facilitate a sound base for the next series of change… have we redeveloped to stay the same, or to make conditions favourable to attract the next level of employees?
I have seen the club in crisis more than once, this is not one of those times. The playing staff are now clearly higher on the clubs agenda than in previous years. So for you eight years you really mean… one full window just gone.

Dyche doesn’t have or won’t trust the personnel at his disposal to oversee this “evolution”. Apart from starting Barnes instead of vydra he isn’t doing much wrong, if we want woods at full effectiveness we need to be starting vydra, other tweaks are superficial.
I'm pretty sure we played 5 at the back once when we had Gibson and I swear it was Long, Tark, Mee. Spurs away was it?

Played 5 at the back v Spurs away and they beat us 1-0 with the goal coming in the last few minutes. Gibson was out but Long played-one of the away games I went to

I’m not sure. I’m just looking forward to SD moulding this new lineup which I didn’t know existed it’s true that everyday is a school day.

We played five at the back at home to Everton when Gibson scored but Everton scored five

Everton played 5 at the back against us for 55 minutes the other day and were absolutely tosh. Sheffield United played it all last season and almost broke Derby’s lowest points record. Some on here go on like it’s some magic formula plug and play. Yet we are almost 10 years into Dyche’s reign and he’s played it in around 2 games.

4-5-1 is the way to go forward with Mcneil as the number 10.

4-5-1 a must for me given we have 1 effective striker (that’s likely to play).
I can’t bear watching Barnes again in a 2 up top

Chelsea played 5 at the back and won the CL. Italy and England played 5 at the back and both were in the final of the Euros. Inter Milan played 5 at the back and won Serie A.
It's not a magic formula, it's a modern formula though. We can just continue with the 442 if you want, lets just ignore the fact we've won 4 times in 24 games.

Another vote for 4-5-1, sorts out our deficencies in attack and midfield by packing the middle of the park as that is where Arsenal are lightweight.
Id have Vydra as the ten with Wood up top, im almost certain that would be great but i suspect Sean would rather chop his todger off than give Vyds 90 mins anytime soon, i hope im wrong.
