******* Arsenal!
Such a scabby cheating whinging bunch of crapness.
Wow.
I'm OK now.
How the **** did we get get beat by that???
Seriously I would rather sh** myself twice a day than watch that crap.
(Realise this is perhaps a little over reaction in an Arsenal style but hey that's 3 points lost! )

Re: ******* Arsenal!
Had to sit and listen to an obese gooner throughout the match in a bar. Had a right hard-on for Barnes and Dyche, muttering to his Mrs about the ref dying to give us a pen.

Arsenal were poor and we had no idea how to break them down.
Re: ******* Arsenal!
Missed opportunity today. Decent performance but not taking our chances is damaging.

Re: ******* Arsenal!
Dyche makes it easy for them just launch it and win the second balls, if they play it on the ground the ref will help.

Re: ******* Arsenal!
Precisely! the only game where we've looked outclassed is at Anfield, the other 4 we've been at least the equal or better than the opposition.
However yet again it's putting the ball in the onion bag that's proving troublesome, as it has been for quite awhile now.
Wood is normally our main goal outlet, but as others have rightly pointed out he's woefully out of form ATM.
The only hope is if we keep creating the chances, eventually the goals will come.

Re: ******* Arsenal!
We've fallen back into last seasons issue of not getting bodies in the box.
The crosses first half were awful, from both wings. Second half they were a lot better, but it was either Wood on his own against 3 , or Barnes on his own against 3.
Go back to the Villa match last season, which turned our season around, and crosses were met by at least 3 or 4 Claret and Blue shirts in the box. Wood and Barnes both need to get in there. Westwood or Brownhill need to be getting to the edge of the box to pick up any second balls, and the wide men from the opposite wing should be on the corner of the box incase the ball goes over everyone.
We played some nice stuff today, but at the key moments we aren't using our heads, its all passion, when we need a lot more nous.
Arsenal were strange today. I thought they were poor first half, even though they were better than us. Second half they played a lot better, but we dominated them for the most part of it. They had a couple of really good individual performances from Odegaard, Ramsdale and Tomiyasou, but were a poor team. As for Pepe, I'd be embarrassed if that lazy tosser played for us, whoever sold him to Arsenal really had their pants down.

Absolutely detest them as a fan base and club. Everytime we play them, they cheat in some way, shape or form.

Re: ******* Arsenal!
12 against 11 is always an uphill battle, the ref was gutless and pathetic failing to give us anything and not punishing Arsenal for surrounding him ,wining about every decision that went against them
It was a stone wall penalty overruled by useless Lee Mason and VAR.
There was minimum if any contact on Saka for their free kick that led to the goal
All in all with at least 8 chances for us missed, the main feeling is anger, that again it's a case of same old Arsenal always cheating.
A game we should have won and threw away with poor finishing

Re: ******* Arsenal!
Pretty sure the penalty would have stood if the decision was the other way round.
But I didn't really have a problem with Arsenal to be honest, they seemed pretty honest compared to what we've been used to in recent years and there was less antics and fouls compared to old Arsenal.
I don't get the fan remark, every team has idiots. It's been some time now before they've had any success so I don't think they're really anything but realistic.. that's why they celebrated their win so much. I actually think fans generally seem worse from teams with recent relative success.

Re: ******* Arsenal!
Wow. Take your claret tinted specs off mate. Westwood’s foul of saka was a professional foul and a yellow card. There most definitely was contact it was as cynical as you are likely to see. As for the penalty, have you actually watched the replay? The goalkeeper goes for the ball and gets contact on the ball therefore the decision to overturn was the correct one.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 2:53 am12 against 11 is always an uphill battle, the ref was gutless and pathetic failing to give us anything and not punishing Arsenal for surrounding him ,wining about every decision that went against them

You are spot on with this. I got back late last night and haven’t watched any footage of these two incidents, however from where I was sitting in BL that was definitely a foul by Westwood. It was a quality free kick after this for their goal. That was the difference. No complaints from me.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 8:26 amWow. Take your claret tinted specs off mate. Re: ******* Arsenal!
We were toothless again inside the final third. It's irrelevant who we are playing as it's the same problem on repeat.
Re: ******* Arsenal!
Wood being our only goal outlet is obviously well known by every manager of every team we play. So hes marked out of the game. Dyche needs to.have orher options so defenders are less occupied with Wood.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 7:03 pmPrecisely! the only game where we've looked outclassed is at Anfield, the other 4 we've been at least the equal or better than the opposition.

Re: ******* Arsenal!
I can't disagree, but just maybe Cornet & Vydra will provide more of a threat, and possibly compliment Dwight as well, as we need to add another dimension to our attacking play, and the Barnes/Wood combo surely has to binned now, it was night and day after SD made the changes yesterday.
