That doesn’t capture the half of it mate
Re: why did it kick off in the Cricketfield ?
Hardly say it kicked off, a bit of pointing and singing, move on.
Although I did see a bottle of pop thrown from the Arsenal fans lad in the Burnley fans.

What is that steward doing, he comes into the stand from side of pitch and starts clapping his hands whilst his mates are right in the firing line, what a clown

Re: why did it kick off in the Cricketfield ?
It went on for well over ten minutes, not a copper in sight.
I know they might not be in the stadium but this was an instance where their backup was required.
Mainly bottles being chucked but a period where punches were thrown and landed.
The escalation happened when an Arsenal fan took a bottle flush in the face and lost the plot.
Re: why did it kick off in the Cricketfield ?
Plus backs of wooden seats went back and forward starting from the Arsenal end

Saw it going off just after the VAR decision. Was a bit bemused why the coppers just ignored it and left it to the few stewards up the top.

There was a guy next to me doing the w****r sign towards the Arsenal fans which might have upset them if they could see him sat in the JM upper
Re: why did it kick off in the Cricketfield ?
Luckily we have a card only payment in the ground or there could have been a few coins chucked around amongst the bottles of p1$$ and wooden seats.

What we really need to do is move home fans out of the CFS and relocate them around the ground. It's not like there isn't enough space.

NO!!! It’s the only source of atmosphere in the ground. What we need to do is stop being dick heads.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 6:51 pmWhat we really need to do is move home fans out of the CFS and relocate them around the ground. It's not like there isn't enough space.

As someone who stands/sits in CFS right next to the away fans and think the situation today was pathetic, don't think your comment actually has any factual basis.

Anyone identified in that video didn’t need to be there. Hope they’re not allowed into the club again. *****

I don't know, I wasn't involved. As I've alluded to, not everyone in the CFS is a dick head.

Arsenal fans were fighting between their selves on the cricket field itself.

There's no way our current owners want to see scenes like this. Like it or not, I fear that home fans in the Cricket Field Stand are on borrowed time.

I don't want any of those clowns anywhere me in the ground. Natural selection has put
them together in there, so let them be.
If any can be identified from the various footage that's around, get them banned for life.
No place for mutant imbeciles at our club.

Re: why did it kick off in the Cricketfield ?
Another example of a bunch of Two Can van Dammes gesturing and posturing and throwing missiles around when, in reality, if they actually wanted to they could have in fact just had a fight. But no. They’d sooner lob a bottle, seat upright, coin etc into a crowd of people, from behind a line of stewards, hitting they know not who, than actually have a fight.
If the barricades came down, this sort of behaviour would largely stop - certainly the bunch of virgins that were running back and forth like kids at a fairground would only run in one direction. Away.
It’s embarrassing. It’s a game of football.

Re: why did it kick off in the Cricketfield ?
Didn’t there used to be a segregated bit between the home fans and away fans? Like a flag covering? That didn’t seem to be there today and called it that it might kick off as home/away fans practically sat next to each other.

Whilst not condoning the behaviour of both sets of fans, what would people think of the set tos in the 70s. I am sure that today's fans would basically s**t themselves.

There seemed to be a lot of nobhead Arsenal fans about yesterday. Lots of reports of sexist chanting at young girls in the town. Arsenal fans fighting themselves after the game on the cricket pitch.
I think they get a tad excited when they can get 4 pints for a tenner up north.

Yeh,let's move the fans out of there. And let the away fans have it all. They can move to other parts of ground, where polite clapping, and the odd chant of cmon Burnley can be sang.

Re: why did it kick off in the Cricketfield ?
It looks to me as if they have re-aligned the seating in the CFE, has that been done recently?
I was in JM Lower yesterday and commented to my mate how flimsy the segregation appeared to be in the CFE.
As the club is under investigation by the FA I wonder if the outcome may well be the removal of a few rows on the Burnley side and the imposition of a no man's land?

It’s was pretty low end handbags . Apart from the odd plastic bottle and a few broken bits of seat it looked like giddy teens singing at each other . The protagonists will be easily identified and life banned and perhaps a bit of a No-mans land . Though few grounds seem to bother tbh

No perhaps we will make this exclusively a home end with the away fans being in the longside lower at the Cricket field end
Other teams don't give the advantage of goal stands to opposition
Often we are jammed in the sides
