Moment of silence for tarks

Post by Longsidejono » Sat Sep 18, 2021 5:48 pm

Thought him missing out on the England team to coady and mings was bad enough but Ben white?! Wow he looked terrible today!

Tarks must think it’s some kind of joke that he’s not in that squad!

He give Barnes a free header
He let cornet pick his pocket in his own box
He left a back pass short for us and we ‘won’ a penalty for it

It’s not his fault he did try to let us score

Think it was White who stopped Ash pulling the trigger with the bouncing ball, a short while after Ash fluffed that header.
I'd have White above Mings.
Tarks had a better game today though.

It was Gabriel who tackled with Barnes and Tamiyasu (sp) covering, White was no where to be seen.

Ah right.
My mistake. There were a few players around/near the ball. I thought it was White who recovered & took the ball off Ash's foot.

We may be talking about different moments.

The one where Gabriel got a touch was in the 1st half, was Barnes chested it down and Gabriel got the tackle in before he could make a connection.

Didn't realise on many people's head I live in but there's a reason why Arsenal paid £50m for White and why he gets picked ahead of Tarks in the England team.

If you haven't sussed it out yet it's because he is a better player.

How good was Tarky up front at the end seemed to be playing head tennis on his own. Beating everyone for the ball.

Showing the front two how to win the balls in the air.

If Tarks was so good do people not think some of the bigger clubs would have come in for him? Like they did with Trippier, Keane and Ings.

In all seriousness there are two rivals for England goalie and two rivals for England CB and in each case I feel the Clarets rather than Arsenal have the better player. Ramsdale did well today though, as did Pope apart from a few dodgy kicks (even by his standards).

I think this is the problem, our fans think defenders and keepers playing in a deep block equates to the same as playing out from the back. today identified exactly why they both get in the England set up ahead of our two.

The Arsenal lads are great on the ball and at there age they will only get better and better.

I used to like it when Charlie/Atheist/Imploding would wear out his username and come back re-invigorated and really get under everyone's skin.

DA needs to do the same now. The entire persona is no longer 'devil's advocate' but 'deliberate contrarian' and it's wearing thin.

Southgate would play White ahead of Tarky because he is deemed a better short passer, but Tarky has great feet and can extricate himself from trouble, superb strength, and is also sensational in the air (compared to White, for whom it is a major weakness). Both Arsenal players are young and will get better but at this point I would choose ours over theirs, not just in our system.

p.s. noting above posts, NOT better than Maguire but is better than Mings who is often, well, minging.

I think them points are difficult to argue though, Tarks has been part of a poor defence for the best part of 18 months.

Last season both Mings and White were playing in much sounder defences whilst contributing more offensively.

Tarks and Pope are absolute monsters in our set up but I think the reason neither have progressed to bigger clubs is down to the frailties when playing in an open set up.

Wouldn't say they are great on the ball. Hence why they have no more chance of beating teams such as Man City than we have.

There certainly no Ederson and Dias but the point is they are the tier below.

Currently I would suggest our lads are in the lower end premier league tier until proven they can play a different system.

The difference being is they already have 6pts on the board compared to our 1, they’ll get by just fine doing what there do & nobody will expect them to, in our case the longer this run continues we might just need to beat 1 of the big boys if we can’t accrue points elsewhere.

Have Leicester ever actually got as far as putting a bid in? Will be interesting to see what happens this summer when he'll be available for nothing.

Not sure on your point the only reason Kane hasn’t left is because levy as put a unrealistic valuation on Kane’s head nobody is willing to meet, not sure how or where tarks fits into this!

I’m not sure reports suggested they’d offered a certain amount but it was below our valuation around the time he’d stubbed his toe if I remember right.

Strangely my inocuous comments and people's responses to ithem seem to garner excessive interest

Just maybe I'm a bigger and more important character than people like to admit

Either way shout out to my fans and my haters as I love u all
Your comments might be innocuous but they are also invaribly contraire.
Anyone who reads this board regularly will know that this is done purposely to bring about a response.

If you wish to put yourself forward as an "important character" then that just endorses what the vast majority of people on here think of your desire to be noticed with your sometimes silly/immature posts.

Says a lot about you and others that simply suggesting £50m international Arsenal player Ben White is better than Tarks is some kind of contentious opinion

Think it's you lot who are a bit chulish and fragile to think that an opinion which the majority of football fans hold is something to get yourself upset about
Everyone has their opinion the post was insinuating that tarks must be gutted to get put out by a 50million£ England international that plays like that

If we was going off your theory I bet United fans are gutted they got Greenwood none England international instead of Bamford England international

You are the last person on the planet for me to get upset about.
You do have an high opinion of yourself though, I'll give you that.

Do you think Ramsdale is a better keeper than Pope because he plays for Arsenal?
