Re: Henri Lansbury
To be fair he was going to kick the ball. The Swansea player doing that really annoying thing players do and walk in front of a dead ball.
Re: Henri Lansbury
Really?
What on earth is the Swansea player thinking? He deserved to get launched. Lansbury just followed through with his natural motion, just like Barnes at Chelsea.

If you want to get in the way of a player taking a free kick then yes.

Re: Henri Lansbury
I’ve thought for a long time that when a free kick is given the opposing players should retreat immediately from the ball or get yellow carded.

Re: Henri Lansbury
If only every arsehole player who kicked the ball away got the same treatment. Football would be a far better place.

Re: Henri Lansbury
My thoughts are a free kicks been given and he’s deliberately stopped that happening so he should be booked regardless of his ‘injury’.
The more interesting point for me is if it’s a yellow I think it has to be a red. If you’re saying he’s deliberately kicked him he has to go

Re: Henri Lansbury
At first viewing, that twitter video looked like he just kicked an opponent so should be sent off, but the other angle clearly shows he was actually running to launch the ball and the opponent kicked the ball away from him.
IMO, he shouldn't have been booked (assuming he was), the swansea player should have been booked.
But I've watched it lots, and the ref in the championship only gets to watch it once, so I'd say the ref did okay.

Re: Henri Lansbury
As said above delaying the re-start should be yellow every time. Blatant cheating.
