Rochdale game on TV or online at all?
Rochdale game on TV or online at all?
As per the title. I can only see two games on TV (both all Premier League which seems a bit dull). Is there anything like ifollow or any further games on TV?

I thought I'd read on here earlier in the month that it was being screened online by the BBC?
Re: Rochdale game on TV or online at all?
It was a poorly worded Phil Bird tweet ... that appeared to say "BBC website is showing the Burnley v Rochdale match on 21st September"dandeclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:46 pmI thought I'd read on here earlier in the month that it was being screened online by the BBC?
What it meant was "the BBC website has Burnley v Rochdale to be played 21st September"
Not showing the match

No caraboa cup games not selected to be televised by sky will be shown on the streaming sites.
The Newcastle game in the last round was the same.
If you can, you may aswell go on for the sake of a tenner.
I've a funny feeling we will get to see Maxwell Cornet and a couple of the new additions.

Burnley v Rochdale in a cup competition...on tv live...anywhere in the universe?
Incidentally a lot thinking Cornet might play. Hope so but he’s (for us) an expensive signing who has hopefully been brought in to make a difference. Wonder if SD will risk such a potential asset against a league two side hoping for a scalp. Especially when it’s (kind of) a local derby. You never know with old Dychey boy. One thing seems certain, he won’t risk Barnes in a cup tie. He wants him for bigger games.

Fingers crossed I can watch online, I made it for the last round at Newcastle, but can't make it tomorrow.
I'm hoping to see Cornet get his first goal in Claret and Blue!

I've been thinking exactly that, but I'm hoping that neither he nor NP, DM, JT, BM, or CW play; this season's going to be another fight for survival and those five remaining fit/uninjured are vital to our succeeding, so why risk them against Rochdale in the noggy-pog cup?

Now you've said that they will all playAfloatinClaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 5:39 pmI've been thinking exactly that, but I'm hoping that neither he nor NP, DM, JT, BM, or CW play; this season's going to be another fight for survival and those five remaining fit/uninjured are vital to our succeeding, so why risk them against Rochdale in the noggy-pog cup?

ESPN+ have the USA rights, but they've chosen Norwich/Liverpool, Man City/Wycombe, and QPR/Everton to stream live

And then we can all cry about not taking the cup seriously when we get knocked outAfloatinClaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 5:39 pmI've been thinking exactly that, but I'm hoping that neither he nor NP, DM, JT, BM, or CW play; this season's going to be another fight for survival and those five remaining fit/uninjured are vital to our succeeding, so why risk them against Rochdale in the noggy-pog cup?

Exactly. To be honest he could do worse than play the entire first team. They could do with a confidence boost. But we are talking Sean here.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 7:05 pmAnd then we can all cry about not taking the cup seriously when we get knocked out

If you can't make it to the game, best bet would be to listen to Clarets Player for commentary and watching Sky Sports News which show each goal.

Re: Rochdale game on TV or online at all?
Given our porous start to the season, the last thing we need is yet another lower league side to turf us out of the cup.
No we probably won't win it, but just the morale boost of a win, and seeing our name in the 4th round draw will hopefully give everyone at the club a lift, and boy we sure could do with a tonic ATM.
We certainly won't play the entire first team, but with our increased squad depth we should surely have enough to overcome a L2 side, even with a lot of changes.

Useful link and shows all international broadcasters too. This one is showing as being on PPTV China only. Think you'll be very lucky to get something on a stream.

Re: Rochdale game on TV or online at all?
I don't think the games are even being shown in China any more. There's a host of broadcasters round the world that do have rights but I agree with the above; pretty sure they only show the same featured games. Setting up cameras for highlights compared to live commentary is very different I guess.
