Re: Harry Dunns parents
So do we assume, in the absence of justice, the parents have been paid off.
Good on them, it's no consolation to see the conniving lowlife and the politicians on both sides of the Atlantic protecting her having to cough up however much they think the lad's life was worth, but it's about all they'll get....
Why not do a hostage swap - that cow for the Balmoral boy, Andrew ?

What good is a settlement, what does it actually do assuming it’s money, it’s completely worthless against the loss of a life.

Exactly the loss of a lad that hadn't even really started living, money solves nothing.

Take the money. Organise a hit man, get the woman taken out. Cover your tracks. Job done. At worst move to a country that doesnt extradite to the USA... plenty of them. Maybe Andorra; not Afghanistan.

This whole thing has stunk the place out since she was allowed to leave. The Americans are supposed to be our allies, I'd expect Russia or China to behave this way not our `friends`. The US ambassador should have been sent home the minute it became clear the Americans had no intention of doing the right and decent thing.
Now we are being fed utter shite by them, telling us that they left for security reasons.... utter, utter claptrap. This woman and her family have absolutely no morals whatsoever.
Not at all convinced the British government has done all it can here either... the language from the start has been nowhere near harsh and direct enough.

Sadly we only have to look at the situation in reverse regarding Handy Andy. Money buys “justice” now or rather injustice, sadly for the parents of Harry Dunn.
As the late, great George Carlin once said “it’s a great big club, and you ain’t f****** in it”
Stinks to high heaven.

This is been a filthy stain on our relationship with the US.
Both the Trump and Biden administration have acted equally discragefully over the matter.

Perhaps they think she has as little chance of getting a fair trial over here, as Andrew has of getting a fair trial in the States.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 4:21 pmSo do we assume, in the absence of justice, the parents have been paid off.

It is probably a trial rather than a fair trial which was the first thing that came to mind for both these guilty parties
Re: Harry Dunns parents
The money (if that’s what it is) won’t mean anything, but in the absence of any proper justice the implicit admission that a wrong has been committed may give the parents some sort of closure.
