BBC crediting him with the 4th, but what the official view will be we'll have to wait and see.lakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 9:35 pmI've only seen it once, but Jay's fourth looked like an OG to me.

Leeds scramble through on pens as do Southampton.
Impressive 3-1 win on the road for Morecambe, they're looking like they might just be ok at L1 level.

I was at Norwich v Watford on Saturday and the Liverpool game tonight. Norwich do not look good at all. Look like relegation fodder at the moment.

Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
Slightly better than I was expecting, about 9k I'd guess. Glad I went down, was nice to see us score a few goals

Oh dearDevils_Advocate wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 10:08 pmIt was a comfortable victory and never in doubt. Stepped up a gear in sudden death and Fulham just couldn't cope

I said it a couple of weeks ago, he looks like he’s lost weight and is playing far better than his first spell.
Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
I was down that end of the Bob Lord and thought it was a definite OG at the time.

Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
Thought he was non existent in the first half, playing too narrow and not offering anything down the right
Was much better in the second though

Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
Disappointed in Vydra, don't think he should be starting ahead of Jay on that performance. Slipped so many times tonight too. Cornet should definitely have scored, but at least he is getting himself into good positions. Nice to see us putting some goals away. UTC.
Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
Sounds like Wayne Hennessey has twisted his ankle according to SD in training

Yes Vydra looked really fed up most of the second half too. Maybe he's trying too hardburnleymik wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 11:05 pmDisappointed in Vydra, don't think he should be starting ahead of Jay on that performance. Slipped so many times tonight too. Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
Was I heck, I've got better things to do than drive across to Burnley or down to Fulham to watch a League Cup game on a Tuesday night. If we make it to the Semi-Finals then I might make the effort but until then I'll give it a miss

Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
I believe that's why he misses so many chances, he tries too hard. His body language after missing a chance shows. The problem is carrying it with you means you are more likely to miss the next chance as well. Top strikers forget about the misses as soon as they happen.
Re: Burnley v Rochdale match thread
Vydra stood apart in a decent performance. Tried lots of early runs that weren't spotted or got in behind to slip. Seemed to be holding his ankle a lot and did look a bit frustrated.
Said in earlier post made before half time that Cornet didn't look full on. Seemed to have the engine for both halves in the end. He obviously has energy and speed and no small amount of talent. Think he's still adjusting to the full on pressing we play. Very excited to see someone of his quality in the side as well as a rejuvenated Lennon. How do we best use Lennon/McNeill and Cornet in the same side?
