It's a nonsense that they won't confirm attendances

More so Cornet - there is no doubt that he's going to excite the fans and there's no doubt he has the ability to do just that. He missed chances last night, as Stan would say he's all over the gaffe at times, but he looks a player that is going to be really effective for us going forward.

I never understood the negativity towards Lennon. He's a good player. I don't think he'll start a lot of games but he's quick and I think he is going to be an asset for us this season,

Burnley v Rochdale report

See link

Good to read about a home win, and plenty of goals,

Jay clearly enjoys this competition, and to net 4 against any opposition has to be regarded as a good night.

Who apart from Jay is the last Burnley player to score 4 in a game, off the top of my head I think it was Paul Barnes back in the 90's.

Charlie Austin scored at least one hat-trick I recall, but I don't think he ever managed 4 in a match.

Now obviously the level of Rochdale has to be taken into account, but hopefully this win will be the launchpad for our PL campaign to pick up.

And we've now reached the last 16 for the 2nd year running, when normally we struggle to navigate our 1st game.

A decent draw tonight, and potentially we might have the prospect of a quarter-final tie ahead.

how come Chris obtains this information?

…I thought Bob Lord locked such details in the butchers safe! 😀

Think the quick response to get back on level terms was very significant for us. Lots of players looked 'rusty' to me which wasn't a surprise. Tremendous delivery in from Cornet for the first goal. Flat and fast, a dream for a good header of a ball.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but was Hennessy unavailable because of injury?

Yes he picked up a knock in training.

Was initially scheduled to play but got a slight injury in training I believe. Don’t know whether anything was confirmed.

Any significance in the fact that they didn’t trust Norris even vs Rochdale?

Don’t think it’s anything to do with that at all

Glad for Jayrod

Shame a good player and local hero gets slated on here so often nowadays...
