A nice gentle lunch time KO today, Chelsea v City in a real clash of 2 title contenders.

Utd-Villa is also a 12.30 KO.

Rovers-Cardiff

Morecambe-Stanley

Those 2 catch the eye in the 3PM games.

Manchester Villa game very entertaining. United are a chaotic shambles but they could score every time they go forward such is the individual brilliance of their attackers.

Just got back from Portman Road where Peacock-Farrell was having a decent game until he gifted Ipswich a late equaliser with a pantomime goal.

1-1 good game so far. Also both teams have a shot cleared off the line.

They seem to be starting in a similar fashion to Norwich 2 seasons ago, but I still fancy them to be near/in the drop zone come to the end of the season.

I think they're a level above Norwich, and they certainly don't appear as naive as the Canaries have proven to be in the top flight.

Question is, are Brentford just playing with confidence and adrenaline, which you often see with promoted sides?

And we won our first five home games in 2009/10. Tbf Brentford have looked a tad better away from home than we did in that season!

Time will tell I guess, but they don't look out of their depth in the first 6 games, although should they lose a few on the bounce that's when we'll see what character they've got to respond.

Cracking game at Brentford, they certainly get plenty of men forward.

3-3, Brentford are an excellent side. U21 German International in central midfield who cost £500,000, full Danish international central midfielder who cost £2.5m.

The PL is a brutal league and last season Southampton got one point from nine matches after starting very well.

It'll either follow the pattern of Sheffield United when they came up or they'll drop like a stone. I can't see any in between.

Still only seven points in front of us btw ;)

Remarkable game at Brentford. They look good. Can they keep it up?

If this is the standard at the top end of the Championship and we go down I will be worried.

Brentford have been impressive, but it's early days, so we'll see if they can maintain it as the season progresses.

As for how Burnley would get on in the Champ, West Brom don't appear to be having many problems, and they could barely win a game in the PL last season, so I'd be fairly confident we could bounce back if we needed to.

Some people worry too much. We've had people already say they worry that Cornet won't be with us long - even though he signed a 5 year contract, and we're no pushovers.

Given Brentfords relative budget and spend if Frank manages to keep them up this season it will top Dyche's immense achievement in Keeping us up in the 16/17 season
