Naturally the North London derby will hog the headlines, but from Burnley's viewpoint the Saints-Wolves game is of far more interest.

Hopefully be 2 decent games. There's not been a 0-0 in the Arsenal vs Spurs fixture since 1997, so you've got to expect 2 or 3 goals.
Re: today’s footy - 26/09/21
I cringe whenever we call other teams shite. We've only got 2 bloody points.

Should be an amusing and entertaining North London derby given the relatively lousy starts for both teams. I think I’ll be backing Nuno’s Spurs, in the hope of seeing Arteta at his very whiniest post-match.

Now that Saints v Wolves game seemed like a relegation scrap. Hootel (sp) looked despondent to lose, but Southampton never looked like scoring… must be worrying as hey clearly targeted a win from this game, yet they looked clueless.

Spurs look worse than really poor. What a bloody shambles… if Burnley were as disorganised as them there would be lynchings given the stick Dyche takes. Wow.

I thought NES was a strange appointment for Spurs, I’ve seen nothing to suggest he is able to prove me wrong. Big 45 minutes ahead for the Spurs boss.

Re: today’s footy - 26/09/21
Late goal for Spurs (Son) but it's probably too late for them to salvage anything from this derby.
I haven't seen the match, so are Arsenal that good, or are Sours truly awful, I suspect it's the latter, and Spurs seem a ragged outfit on the evidence of their drubbing at Palace, and then today meekly surrendering the 3 1st half goals.
Hope they turn up in this mood when they visit TM in a few weeks, if they do we've got every chance of turning them over and advancing in the cup.

Finished 3-1 Gunners, big result for Arteta, might buy him some time in his job.
Celtic dropped further points today after a 1-1 draw home to Dundee United, they currently sit 6th in the SPL table.

In current form Ramsdale is above Pope in the England pecking order. Pope needs to get back to what got him in the England setup in the first place. That Ramsdale save today from Moura was simply stunning.

Big chance for Everton or West Ham to finish in the top six this season think the top four already nailed on.

Purely the fact that Brighton could go top of the league tomorrow tells you everything you need to know about how erratic all the teams have been.rufus lumley wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 6:40 pmBig chance for Everton or West Ham to finish in the top six this season think the top four already nailed on.
But I agree the top 4 looks nailed on already, the only question is what order they'll finish in come May.
Re: today’s footy - 26/09/21
It's genuinely surprising how little football managers see, do they completely ignore what they see from players and just pick based on previous loyalty or something?
How Eric Dier is a Spurs central defender i'll never know, how many times do we need to see him all over the place for managers to see the same thing?
Same thing with Arteta and Arsenal, how many times do you need to see Xhaka is a liability before you take action? you will not get top 4 with Xhaka, we've all seen that for years and years, yet he continues to get picked and kept at the club.

No, he doesn't.
Wondered more than once the last few years, how it would go if he was locked in a room with Bob Lords Ghost for a few months.

Re: today’s footy - 26/09/21
You have to laugh at the delusion of Arsenal fans. I was at the hippodrome playing poker on Saturday and one is at the table next to me and when the inevitable football talk ensues he goes ‘I absolutely hate Burnley’. So I politely ask why and he says ‘team of thugs, anti football, etc etc’. I politely suggest he compares our red card record to Xhaka alone over the last 3 years and suggest he looks at a re run of all the absolute joke decisions they have had against us in recent seasons when they have stolen the points such that he should like us given they almost always get unwarranted points against us. Then says he wants Wenger back etc etc etc. Lots of them are beyond delusion. It was funny because a Chelsea supporter at the table helped put him in his place about the game last week also when they were on the back foot for most of the game.
