No Richardson. Is he injured or likely to be on the bench on Saturday?

I think CT told someone on here on Saturday that Richardson was injured.

Cheers. We're going to have to draft in Kevin Long on Saturday at the rate! :)

Mellon seems to score regularly. Is he one for the future ?

You're right he does and he certainly seems to be one to watch. You have to also bear in mind that he's really an U18 and steps up when he plays for U23s so he's clearly got something.

Difficult to say, we've had a few who've been prolific at youth level, but haven't made the step up to senior level, so although he's showing promise there's no guarantee he'll yet make the grade, he certainly has an eye for goal though.

Always seems to help when Dad has been a decent player. Didn’t realize he was so young

Yes, It's a shame we didn't get Harvey Barnes.

Thompson seems to be floundering in the U23s. Not even starting for them now?

The only player on the pitch with no sponsor on his shirt because of his age.

It just seems strange he went from getting some game time for the starting eleven to not even starting for the U23s. I assume he is one of the senior figures in the U23 team

I think he got an injury.
In any case they have 4 or 5 forwards who need games

That’s fair and as another poster has mentioned Mellon is banging them in for fun

85 mins: Unwin on for McGlynn.

McGlynn clear through, brought down. Should have been a free kick and a red card but nothing given other than McGlynn injured.

Poor second half though.

Thompson has been played on the right side of midfield for about a season, yet still gets a few goals from open play (he also takes the penalties).
I guess the management have to try all the options, and give them a decent go at it.

Good win. Certainly better than Stoke did at home to Villa, lost 8 nil!
