Thanks for the reminder, bought mine today.
Hope it raises a substantial amount after losing both Mum and Dad to the
dreadful disease.

My mother in law had it for 10 years.
My partner's mum (Mrs McL died, as some will know) had it.
We all know of others.
Devastating disease and worthy of a ticket purchase.
Good luck.

A 4XL will be winging its way to a lucky winner, any time soon!
Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I bought a few tickets for this.
Does anyone know how much was raised by the raffle?
Was anyone on here a lucky winner?

Was wondering the same thing myself having bought a few tickets. Can't see anything on the official site.
Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

The official twitter account said yesterday that the draw had been made and the lucky winners would be contacted shortly. I'm assuming that I'm not one as I haven't had an email or any other type of correspondence
Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
Well the money is going to a good place and the winner of the 4xl can go camping, any time.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I didn’t buy any tickets but instead made a donation directly to Alzheimer’s.
Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I give to Alzheimers through a standing order but thought I would join in with the spirit of the club's initiative and entered the raffle too.

Joking aside. A dreadful illness that has a massive influence on my family. Despite the horrors of the illness, you occasionally have to fight the sadness with a nod to dark humour.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
My father in law died last week. Mother in law in a home on her last legs with dementia. My wife has taken the decision not to tell her mum. Controversial, I know. She won’t be at the funeral which is so sad. But imagine if you can’t remember what someone said to you ten minutes ago - or not knowing where you are, or why you’re there. A very worthy cause that gets my full admiration. It’s such a shame that we’ve got a team history of this. Rightly publicised. Poor Jimmy Robson and Dany. I know exactly what they’re going through. We all give to charities of choice, but this is a worthy one.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I've been through it with my dad back in the 1980s, a good few years too before he passed away at 67. It is a shocking thing to have to deal with and I've a couple of friends now who are having to deal with close family, one his dad and the other his wife.Bop wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 9:44 pmMy father in law died last week. It's awful to have to deal with.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
Has anybody received a notification that they have won yet?
Know they announced last week that the winners had been drawn and will be “notified soon” just wondering if this is a normal persons soon or a BFC soon

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
Good question! Poor not to announce right away and let everyone know.
Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
Not sure if it's still the case, but it was the law, all results of raffles etc had to be published for viewing, even if it was only on the pub notice board.

I didn’t buy any but did you get a raffle ticket number when you bought one? If so I’d have expected them to announce the winning numbers.

You got an entry reference number, but only one regardless of how many “tickets” you bought.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 8:19 pmI didn’t buy any but did you get a raffle ticket number when you bought one? If so I’d have expected them to announce the winning numbers.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I entered the last one they did when they raffled the BLM shirts.
I didn’t win, or even find out if I had won/lost.
Later found out that a mate of mine who fits carpets got given a couple of the players BLM shirts when he did some work for someone connected to the team……..
So it was a bit strange that they were raffled and also given away.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I did
Along with a post on TwitterPlease can you advise if the winners of the Alzheimer’s raffle have been notified.
It was announced on Wednesday 6th that “the winners have now been selected and we will be in touch with them shortly”, but from asking in a number of fan groups, nobody has received anything and was wondering if this has happened yet and if the winning numbers will be published
I’ll update if/when receive reply

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
APPALLING PR by the club, not announcing who's won and amount raised. I've been involved in many fund raising events and the first thing you should do is announce the winners and than the amount raised.
I thought a raffle was a great idea to help Alzheimer's, rather than the usual auction. I'll certainly think twice if they do this again,
New board new ideas

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
Ella Cummings was the club spokesperson who was happy enough to inform everyone about the raffle and how delighted she was to be able to highlight such a valuable cause, bit of a shame if then lacks the same enthusiasm once money has been collected.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
It was about the only email for contact!
There is the new 'Harriet' who was the SLO and is in charge of fan experience. Perhaps she can improve our raffle experience!
There used to be full details about the club and contact nos etc. Now there is nothing at all on the app!
Burnley FC reduced to hiding in the bushes??
Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I have received a detailed reply from Harriet. The new Fan Experience person. They are still locating winners, as some purchases gave very limited information about the purchaser. It does show that the winners are random!
The draw was a success, as we would all expect.
I have suggested that the detail and explanation are put out now and winners to follow later.
The real news is the considerable benefit to the charity.

Re: Alzheimers Shirt Raffle - Ends 30 September
I received a T shirt in the post this morning from the club.
It was emblazoned back and front with both the alzheimers and dementia logos and signed by Connor Roberts.
I'm not sure why I have received this? There was a Burnley FC compliment slip inside but no explanation why they have sent it.
I did buy a ticket for the Alzheimers raffle and presume it must be connected to that but not sure.
