Someone suggested early in this thread that maybe working through alphabetically ??
No communication from club as to the gold card dropping into my account. Still no funds from the sale in my bank account.
I assume this could be paid anytime soon
It was my suggestion, but nothing more than guesswork.
In my case, I've had nothing from the club to say ' here's your points, cash etc' even though I've got both.

I’m delighted to report that today I too received half the proceeds into my bank account and used the credit (via Team points) for the remaining proceeds to fund my season ticket renewal, which I did online and without any complication.

Yep, credit there and season ticket renewed using the credit no problem. For those who haven’t done it yet it isn’t until the payment screen that you get an option to use your ‘team points’.

Still waiting but that's probably because of the need to get some extra forms in. If it's not sorted by this time next week I'll have to attempt some negotiating regarding season tickets.

My cash and credit all present and correct. Season tickets renewed with the credit. All fairly painless to be fair.

That is exactly my plan, Zizkov, - well, have a corporate day - for my 60th (next Jan) and have a family do which is why I'm so desperate for us to stay up this season. I'd rather go and watch us against Premier League opposition than, say, Rotherham (who will be promoted), Millwall, Luton Town etc.

All of this assumes I'll make it through to 2023, though, as well :o :o

Does anyone know if my son can, who lives away, can use his share points to pay for my 2 season tickets. If so what has he got to do.

The FAQ letters from the club during the consultation process stated that it would be possible for shareholders to use their voucher to buy for friends/family members - there were no details given as to how.

I presume he would just have to log on to his account (with the share money) and add the 2 STs in friends and family and pay.

I've just received my clarets gold team card through the post.
It can be used for tickets, merchandise and matchday kiosks, hospital and sponsorship.

I'm told mine is coming through the post but it's now showing on the ticket site. How do I get the points to pay for season tickets though?

When you get to the checkout online, there are 3 payment options, one is team points, just select that and you're sorted.

Hi Gawthorpe....would you know if this option is available for any purchase from season tickets to, say, buying a scarf?

I did try making a small purchase to see wha options for payment came up but only got the usual credit card payment option although I do seem to have the gold card thingyo showing (but mo credit)

From the accompanying letter, it appears you can use it for small purchases but only in person by presenting the card at the checkout.

I have the Shareholder gold card showing but nothing credited to it. It also shows that the 'Product Date' is 31/5/22. Any explanations/clarification much appreciated.
Ric_C wrote:

Goddy, it was the same for me. It was only when I went to renew my season ticket and selected "pay with teamcard points" did the value show up
Mine has a date of 9/3/22 on (today) with no value. I tried Ric_C's suggestion of renewing with teamcard points but it told me I only had £3.15 in there so no points available for me yet.

Sorry to bother you but can you take me right back to the beginning??

What details am I registering? It’s asking for a Teamcard number, where do I get that? Should I have linked something?

I think it’s the 14 digit number on the back of your season card I think, just above the bar code.

He just needs to add you both as friends and family. You then go into the option to buy season ticket for them and the ‘use points’ option.
Very straightforward, just done the same for my brother and son.

I wouldn't have known about this other than checking this thread, communication from the club has been poor tbh

I did try it earlier this afternoon but the points weren’t there. They have been added now and I’ve been able to use them to renew season tickets. Money in the bank too.

I will have to consider this. I've always been proud of my shares because they made me feel part of a locally owned club. We are no longer locally owned.
I have just dug up this post from earlier in the thread.

I have been a shareholder since January 1982, over forty years now having just missed out on the Bob Lord AGM performances. It was 1986 when I increased my shareholding significantly although, through circumstances, that total has had to be reduced over the years.

Like you lakedistrictclaret, I’ve always had pride in being a shareholder and I had to think long and hard as to what I should do but this is no longer the same club I bought shares in which made it a little easier.

Today, with the sale completion confirmed, I am no longer a shareholder.

I got my first share in the late 1960s. My grandma had one but couldn't be bothered with it so she transferred it to me. My Dad had to sign the paperwork because I wasn't old enough.
Then I got another couple in the early 2000s when there was a two for one rights issue. My final one was about ten years ago when I decided to have a share instead of a season ticket refund when the Club decided belatedly that renewals would be free.

Considering the price at which I've sold them, they have turned out to be a decent investment , although I can only remember receiving one dividend, which consisted of a 5p postal order.

I agree, Tony, this isn't the same club any more, and I feel no sadness at all.

I wanted my grandchildren to have my share when I pop my clogs, I wanted them to feel part of something that meant so much to me, however as mentioned it isn't our club anymore, it is just the team now that I support.

Think you gave my Dad advice on how to buy them (in the Bob Lord) in the 80's.

I am no longer a shareholder! Still it hurts a bit, but seeing the benefit of selling them

I bought my 2 shares for £350 in 1996, purely to attend the annual general meetings. Some of them were highly entertaining, occasionally highly charged, but never boring.
So I've no regrets about selling them and getting 5.75 seasons of 'free' football.

Well, my (apparently) fully loaded Gold Card turned up in the post this morning. Looks like I'm sorted.

I did feel a sense of sadness when I filled in the forms and sent them off. Sad, too, to read how some are feeling about all this now the cash has come through and it's finally a done deal. The likes of CT, lakedistrictclaret et al - I know how you feel......

WELL DONE TICKET OFFICE.
I'd set up a DD for next season in February, thinking I would be out of the country when my share money came through.
One short phone call this morning to a helpful young lady, had my DD cancelled and my ticket paid by my Gold Card.
Cyprus here I come :D :D

If you've sold shares and receiving half in credit you will get a shareholder gold card which you should be able to see in the ticket website when you go into purchase history. The points are then added to your TeamCard (if you have one). I believe actual cards are being sent through the post too.

I'm a little confused about these cards.
I'll be getting a gold card, because the club have just e-mailed me asking for a postal address to send it to.
When it arrives, I'll have two cards, the gold card and what I call my season ticket card, that I show at the turnstile . I assume that is the TeamCard.
Let's say I want to buy a pie and a coffee using my credit. Which card do I have to show?

Your TeamCard doesn't buy it but perhaps the gold card does, although I wasn't aware of it working like that.

The accompanying letter with the physical gold card I've received says you use the gold card itself if you want to buy stuff such as food and drink at matches. It also says, though, that this facility won't be available until next season ( buying food/drink from the kiosks)

Does anyone know if it includes the fanzone? Can't be bothered waiting days for an answer from the club.

Hmmmm - good question. Fanzone not specifically mentioned although the letter says "all food and drink kiosks INSIDE Turf Moor". Is the Fanzone inside? Debatable I guess.

Sorry I can't be more helpful

Isn’t Turf Moor the whole footprint, not just the stadium, including the car park?

I would think so. Match days, Harry Potts Way is also part of the footprint from two hours before kick off.

Well I'd agree with you but just didn't want to give misinformation or raise expectations given the wording of 'kiosks' and what the definition of 'inside Turf Moor' (the stadium or footprint? ) could be interpreted as....
