ZizkovClaret -----I live well away from the area and have no idea exactly whether or not anything has happened, however, on looking at the upcoming fixtures, it appears that they will be playing some matches at the WHAM Stadium ---see link

Looks like they will be moving about for some home games Zizkov ... Accys will probably have commitments meaning their pitch cannot be used all the time

Accrington we’re scheduled to play 3 home games this week (Sat, Tues, Sat), although the game this Saturday has been already been postponed

Maybe they thought a 4th game in a week or 2 games in 2 days, would have been too much for the pitch

Probably finding it too expensive to play there if they're not attracting many fans.
They paid Padiham 200 quid pitch hire, which jumped up to 1000 a game at Accy.
A lot of money to find if they are self sufficient.

Might as well move the full club to Leyland.

It's nonsense our teams playing so far away from the town.

Distance the pitch on the hall side of the river from the official training ground and put some seating around it. Make it a separate ground with a decent pitch and let all teams play there.
Allowing a few local fans to attend more often.

Seems odd to be trying to build them up whilst making them play so far away.

I guess if there is genuine interest the club could put a coach on to and from games from the Turf or the Bus Station?

Yeah, good idea. I’m all for making it a real ballache to attract interest when building a brand.

At least they’ll know the smattering of fans they get have a genuine interest in the team tho.

Shouldn't have to be like that though.

Sometimes people don't decide until the "last minute"
We've already seen from comments about tonight's game, with people deciding to go but now not bothering due to the on-day price increase

I've no interest in the women's team but I'm told the numbers watching them now are much lower. I can confirm that very few go to the u23 games at Leyland. We played one on the Turf recently on a Friday night and had a lot more watching. The next one on the Turf was suddenly shunted to Gawthorpe behind closed doors.

As for the facilities at Leyland, I've no idea what they are like for players and officials but nothing to write home about for spectators.

Always been a really good surface from personal experience but I’m not sure how much it was used at the times I’ve been on it.

United women were critical of the pitch in the FA Cup tie last year.

This is why lower league team should be allowed artificial surfaces, they could make a lot of extra income from the higher tier sides playing their development teams.

Don’t know how often it’s being used now but Blackburn use it for academy games as well.
